BERMUDA JAM - ST (60s psych w. detailed background liners and rare archival photographs. - Label:STONED CIRCLE (UK) The Bermuda Jam's only known contribution to the 1960s music scene was released by Dynovoice Records in 1969, a self-titled psychedelic mod/soul crossover jamboree that, contrary to its detractors, holds delightfully unexpected highlights. Somewhat cruelly neglected and mistakenly overlooked in the past, The Bermuda Jam and their lone album have been assigned to bargain bins with an unjust lack of foresight. The history of the band offers an interesting glimpse of the local garage punk scene, with connections to The Gents and The Savages, both of whom have enjoyed retrospective cult status on compilations including some in the Pebbles series. Other connections include Sly & the Family Stone, Joe Cocker, and Pink Floyd, but name-dropping aside, this small Bermuda outfit wielded some of their own tasty magic for their one-off album deal in 1969. Infectious Hammond and psychedelic studio trickery with ample fuzz and wah-wah make for a thrilling late psychedelic entry that should not go ignored. This first ever reissue was digitally remastered from the original recording and includes detailed background liners and rare archival photographs. CD $17 SKU:16650

BLISS (USA)- Return to Bliss ( legendary 70s psych trio ) new lo price -Label:HALLUCINATIONS Arizona power-trio Bliss' second album, previously unreleased. How can that be, you ask? During the making of the classic eponymous Bliss LP (released on Canyon in 1968/69), the band recorded two LP's at once—the second was never released, until now. King Of Power Pop! is the new studio album by Paul Collins, one of the originators of the power pop sound. Paul got his start in the late seventies as the drummer for the legendary NERVES, (with Peter Case and Jack Lee,) later forming The BREAKAWAYS with Peter Case, and finally starting The BEAT, or PAUL COLLINS BEAT in 1979. King Of Power Pop! is a complete return to his roots, to power pop, the sound he helped create and popularize, a sound that has seen a resurgence in recent years, a sound that is here to stay!
Produced and engineered in Detroit by Jim Diamond (Dirtbombs, The Go, White Stripes, to name just a few), King Of Power Pop! also features Eric Blakely on guitar and backing vocals, Diamond on bass, and Dave Shettler on drums (SSM, The Sights). Motor City guests include Wally Palmar of the legendary power pop hit-makers the ROMANTICS, as well as pop icon Nikki Corvette of NIKKI & The CORVETTES. The catchy cover pop art is the work of legendary artist William Stout.

COLOURS, THE - OUT OF TIME ( 70’s New Wave ) -Label:GTA Records Crewe, England early 1977 - Andy and Rene form TV Eye and along with Mick Taylor, Andy (Bucko) Buckley and Steve Palmer they churn out Stooges, Ramones and Velvet Underground numbers to anyone who will listen at local venues, occasionally weathering verbal and even physical threats at a debut gig in Manchester. They are eventually joined by Dave (MD) on lead guitar in late '77. With a nucleus of Rene, Dave, Andy and Bucko they record their first session at Central Sound in Manchester from which the Rock Section EP is cut. After one or two name and personnel changes they eventually become The Colours Out Of Time; Rene, Dave and Andy locate two other necessarily intelligent musicians on the same wavelength - John Durrant and Phil Bourne. A second EP released on 'Monsters in Orbit', a John Peel session and impressive live shows continue to receive critical acclaim. The CD includes material from the two EP's that we released in 81/82 and the John Peel session from 1981, as well as an extensive booklet detailing the band’s history. CD $12 SKU:4166
