B GIRLS Fun at The Beach- ORIG 1979 TEST PRESSING BOMP 123 with SLEEVE Label:BOMP In 1979 Greg Shaw, owner of Bomp! Records signed them and recordings were made produced by Bob Segarini resulting in a single "Fun At The Beach" b/w "B-Side" which was also released in Europe. They also sang backup vocals on Blondie's Autoamerican and Stiv Bator's solo album. A video was shot for "High School Dance" (A.K.A. "Boys Are Drinking"). Further demos were produced by Debbie Harry and Mick Jones but possible record or production deals with Bomp!, I.R.S. Records and Phil Spector fell through. I.R.S. would instead sign the similar sounding Go-Go's who were also fans of the B-Girls. 45 RPM $50 SKU:22838

FLOWER MACHINE- Through a London Window-Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE Currently based in San Luis Obispo, California, The Flower Machine recorded the basic tracks for their Hypnotic Bridge single in a cavernous warehouse, on a vintage 8-track machine. The tapes were then taken to a studio in Cambria, where they added sitar, flute, organ, backwards guitars and subtle layers of Mellotron cello to complete the A-side, “Through A London Window,” which was inspired in part by Antonioni’s 1966 cinematic masterpiece “Blow Up.”its vinyl debut on the B-side. Surviving only on a murky audience tape from a gig in Copenhagen in September 1967, the song is thought to be a joint composition between Roger Waters and Syd Barrett. It even may have been a version of the rumored “She Was a Millionaire” single The Pink Floyd were working on to follow up “See Emily Play.” Peter spent ages decoding its lyrics, enabling us to present here, for the first time ever, a fully realized version of a song that many consider to be one of the last holy relics of the Barrett era. Peter employs a black-and-white Danelectro 59 for the guitar parts, while Matt Nice plays the menacing, Rick Wright-influenced organ. 45 RPM $10 SKU:22797
GENERATORS - Welcome to the End (1997 L.A punkers) - Label:TRIPLE X The origin of Los Angeles’ influential punk band The Generators dates back to 1997, just a few miles from the skyscrapers of downtown. In the early days, the band hung out and wrote music in an old vacant pizza oven factory, churning out their first batch of songs, which echoed the sentiments of the 1977 Punk spirit. They quickly got attention from the owners of the infamous Triple X Records, who were known best for their 1980’s roster that included Social Distortion, The Vandals, GBH and Jane’s Addiction. Without haste, the indie punk label put The Generators into the recording studio where they produced their first album ironically titled Welcome To The End. CD $5 SKU:22791

TAYLES - Who Are These Guys? (1971 blues psych)-Label:GEAR FAB From Madison, Wisconsin came this merry band of musicians. Includes all tracks from their great 1971 LP plus four songs from their double 45 gatefold. Hey, two of these songs were banned from radio!!!!FROM TOP 25 POP MADISON ALBUMS OF ALL TIME:
13. Tayles Who Are These Guys? (1972) Recorded live at the Nitty Gritty, this collection of blues-rock captures the musical feel of Vietnam-era Madison. Paul Reyzold's organ added pyschedelia that was as bright as a tie-dyed shirt; Scott Eakin's flute was as groovy as a VW bus. Jeremy Wilson started the band in 1966. Like hippie culture, Tayles faded away near the end of 1972. CD $10 SKU:19456

TELEGRAPH AVENUE - ST (Peruvian 70s psych rock) -Label:RE-PSYCHLED Telegraph Avenue’s debut album appeared on the market in Peru, and became the best selling rock record of the year. The time was right for Latin rock with psychedelic touches (a fact evident all over the Americas), and Telegraph Avenue delivered: guitars saturate the amplifiers, using natural distortion and feedbacks, with Latin bass lines, powerful drums and Latin flavored percussions filling all songs with the uniqueness of their sound. Their songs sometimes sound like Grand Funk’s early records, but others have vocal melodies more akin to a West Coast psych style. Now, 35-years later, Repsychled Records has the pleasure to present the definitive reissue of this album; this reissue is the first done using the original master tapes, and was remastered with tube amplifiers; it includes the original artwork in a gatefold mini-LP format, a booklet with unseen photos and souvenirs from the band’s concerts, an extra insert with band biography, and an unreleased song. Limited mini cardboard sleeve edition CD $12 SKU:20201
TELESCOPES-STONE TAPE (shoegaze psych-Label:COLD SPRING The 10th album from The Telescopes is full of wall-to-wall psychedelic drones, swaying chants, trance-inducing shoegaze and "suspended-in-space magnificence." ~Julian Cope. 'Stone Tape' is a concept album inspired by "Stone Tape Theory" (or "residual haunting"), theorized by Thomas Charles Lethbridge in 1961. The archaeologist, parapsychologist and explorer developed the idea that inanimate materials can absorb energy from living beings, and that this mental electrical energy, released during emotional or traumatic events, could somehow be "stored" in such materials and "reproduced" under certain conditions. The hypothesis has been known as "Stone Tape Theory" since the cult 1972 TV screenplay 'Stone Tape' by Nigel Neale. Recorded in Powderhorn Minneapolis, The Vicarage, West Yorkshire and The Experimental Health Unit. Originally released on a limited edition LP by Italian publishing house Yard Press in 2017, this CD edition contains a bonus 14-minute version of the track 'The Living Things', recorded in Switzerland in 2018. Presented in a digipak with new artwork by Stephen Lawrie. CD $17 SKU:21679
TELESCOPES - As Approved by The Committee - Label:EVIL As Approved by The Committee . An unbeatable combination of all their best stuff, out of print and never before released in the US. "Like mad cultural terrorists, they've taken the norm and fed it through a psychedelic blender. It's all rather jagged and unsettling, the musical equivalent of cackling maggots spilling out through the eyeholes of the beautiful - and is both timely and exciting" (Melody Maker, 1994) CD $10 SKU:8909
TELLTALE HEARTS- High Tide (snotty mid-60s style garage punk with R&B and blues influence )LAST COPIES Label:VOXX Anthology '83-'86 - 21 cuts, including 9 previously unreleased, highlight this killer compilation from San Diego's version of the Shadows Of Knight. Back in the days of the mid-80s "garage revival" scene that revolved around the Cavern Club, there was no doubt that the Tell-Tale Hearts led the pack of "paisley underground" bands that were popping up everywhere. They combined primitive and snotty mid-60s garage punk with R&B and blues influences, and had in Ray Brandes a great vocalist. Bill Calhoun played the keys, Eric Bacher was the guitarist, Dave Klowden the powerhouse drummer, and Mike Stax (publisher of the great Ugly Things fanzine) the "bass that ate San Diego." These guys had it all: the "look," the sound, and the carefree attitude. CD $15 SKU:2143

TERRY & THE PIRATES- Too Close For Comfort (70s )-Label:ACADIA Twenty nine years after the release of the original Too Close For Comfort comes the third issue of this priceless and timeless music from San Francisco's own Terry & The Pirates.” Another view: “Probably only remembered today as one of the many bands graced by the guitarwork of John Cipollina following his departure from Quicksilver Messenger Service, and as a footnote in the career of Nicky Hopkins, Terry and the Pirates deserve much greater recognition. Although Cipollina’s feral guitar is undoubtedly essential to their charms, the work of Terry Dolan himself should not be underestimated. His voice is an acquired taste, a strange mixture of David Crosby and Captain Beefheart, but as such, it’s impressively distinctive. Meanwhile, his songwriting mines that same rich vein of American folk which yielded ‘Pride Of Man’ (so memorably covered by Quicksilver). The best songs on this collection of various live and studio recordings are certainly Dolan’s own. Whilst a version of Jackie Wilson’s ‘Higher & Higher’ might be entertainingly audacious, covers of ‘Mystery Train’ and ‘Don’t Do It’ aren’t going to make anybody forget those by The Band, despite some impressive sparring between Cipollina and second guitarist Greg Douglass on the latter. In this context, tracks like ‘Inside and Out’ and ‘Inlaws and Outlaws’ distinguish themselves as fine examples of original Californian rock n’ roll. Even if none of this is especially ground-breaking or epoch-defining music, it’s played with spirit and any fans of West Coast music who might have easily overlooked it should be sure to rectify their mistake. TIMOTHY EERIE -Ritual (glimmering psychedelic pop )Label:NOMAD EEL Austin-based Timothy Eerie crafts glimmering psychedelic pop as delectable as a sheet of bubble gum-flavored LSD and as quenching as an ice cold glass of psilocybin mushroom tea. TIN HOUSE- ST (70s powerhouse rock) w liners, rare photos, insert plus pic slv EP -Label:LION There's a vibe within the grooves of Tin House, which makes it sound fresh even 46 years after its initial release. This relatively obscure power trio from Orlando, Florida were admired and approved of by Johnny and Edgar Winter, and Leslie West was also a fan. Comprising ten juicy tracks and clocking in at 34 minutes, Tin House is a roller-coaster ride through hard and heavy blues rock blasters and gentler twists and turns, all executed with individuality and excellent musicianship. High testosterone levels fuel the frenzy of pile-driving opener 'I Want Your Body,' with its naff lyrics taking a back seat to the full on proto-metal assault. It's a killer track, and not the only one. 'Silver Star,' with the opening line "Ride a crimson horse through the depths of hell," exudes more class than all-out bombast, with hints of Cream and Mountain shining through the darkness. 'Be Good and Be Kind' is another belter, as is ‘Jezebel,' while the semi-acoustic ‘Tomorrow' shows a mellower side, as does the lush string section on majestic closer 'Lady of the Silent Opera. Early-70s American hard rock albums don't get much better than Tin House. Floyd Radford is the star of the show with his tasteful playing, soloing, riffs, textures, and overall tone. Had he not been poached by the Winter brothers, who knows what kind of future Tin House would have had? LD — Classic Rock magazine, March 2017 CD $12 SKU:17823

TRIPSICHORD -ST(California 60s/70s DOUBLE LP GATEFOLD Label:AKARMA Repress! This is one of the most experienced Californian groups in the '60s/'70s, although they were almost disregarded. This album was originally released on two different labels, Janus and San Francisco Sound, therefore a lot of confusion has been made about its very first edition. Anyway, both of them are rare and expensive. This album and a few 7"s are actually everything Tripsichord ever recorded. They were produced by Matthew Katz (who had produced Moby Grape) and their music is based on that acid and psychedelic sound from California, very close to Quicksilver Messenger Service, with its weaving of excellent quality solos. They weren't lucky and never got the success they deserved, but they have all the characters of a great band LP $28 SKU:21883
TROLLEY - CAUGHT IN THE DARKNESS(psych-pop, garage, powerpop Label:SUGARBUSH The second album by the amazing Trolley offers a truly excellent combination of psych-pop, garage, powerpop and moptop jangle. This edition is limited to 250 copies on orange sorbet coloured vinyl. LP $19 SKU:21759

TYRNAROUND- Colour Your Mind(Expanded Mind Edition) Trippy '60s-styled psych)Label:GUERSSEN Originally issued as a 12” mini-album in 1986, Tyrnaround's 'Colour Your Mind' has become a touchstone of 1980s Neo-Psychedelia and almost certainly one of the best records of the second psychedelic era. Influenced by classic '60s British Psychedelia it was also inspired by The Dukes of Stratosphear's ‘25-O-Clock’and perhaps exceeds that record's trip factor with the acid infused title track (featured on Amorphous Androgynous ‘Wizards of Oz’ Compilation and also famously covered by Vibravoid) blending searing acid fuzz guitar, swirling keyboards, surreal lyrics and sumptuous early Floyd like harmonies. Now expanded to a full length LP, including all the bands singles as well as the rare Freakbeat Magazine 45 'Paragon-Smythe' (featuring the never released before unedited version), this could be seen as Tyrnaround's perfect debut album. *LP expanded edition in 60s UK styled backflaps sleeve *Insert with many unseen photos and a full history of the band by Richard Allen (Freakbeat / Delerium / Shindig!) *Download Card for the album plus rare demo and live tracks "Gorgeous, loopy melodies and harmonies, wonderful Seeds-esque organs and frazzled acid guitars" - Psychedelic Psauna blogspot "A musical conglomerate of everything that you ever liked about '60s psychedelia particularly the UK brand - Freakbeat Magazine LP $25 SKU:21662

VOX DEI -Jeremias Pies de Plomo (1972 Solid hard-rock/heavy blues power trio)-Label:SOMMER Sommor Records present a reissue of Jeremías, Pies de Plomo, the third album by Argentinean power-trio Vox Dei, originally released in 1972.
