Wonderful record that has some very cool psychedelic moments (especially the track 'The Madman and the Angel'), and a good number of fabulous folk rock midtempos. There are drums, bass and lots of acoustic guitars in here, but also electric leads, keys, mandolin and multi-part vocals with some female chorus as well. From on line review -- When I hear the term "xian psych" I usually head the other direction, however this outfit sucked me with the mind blowing psych anthem "Life Everlasting" on a Gear Fab comp and I had no choice but to buy the album. Disappointed? Not in the least, more like surprised! Great fuzz psych with good tunes and some guitar work that would make Blue Cheer blush. EDWARDS HAND-RAINSHINE (1971baroque pop post-Picadilly) Label:WOODEN HILL The first-ever issue of 'Rainshine', the semi-mythical third and final LP from post-Picadilly Line outfit Edwards Hand, recorded in early 1971 with legendary producer George Martin at the helm. Despite persistent collector-world rumours of a withdrawn or promo-only pressing on the Regal Zonophone label, the album failed to gain any kind of release - until now, that is. As can finally be heard, 'Rainshine' turns out to be a lost early '70s soft rock/baroque pop classic, with a clutch of wonderful songs ably supported by sumptuous vocal harmonies, sympathetic musicianship and some exquisite baroque pop arrangements from George Martin.
