WILSON, CHRIS, and the SNEETCHES- ST Flamin Groovies related power pop ) - Label:MARILYN Wilson, who was the George Harrison to Cyril Jordan's Lennon/McCartney during the Groovies' most British Invasion-inspired phase, is completely in charge here; along with three spirited live renditions of Flamin Groovies classics, "Between the Lines," "I'll Cry Alone," and, interestingly, "Slow Death" (which was written and recorded by the Roy Loney incarnation of the band before Wilson even joined), the album includes full-band remakes of songs that had appeared on Wilson's 1991 acoustic solo album Random Centuries, including an appealing, Byrds-like rendition of the winsome "If Wishes Were Horses LP $5 SKU:14092

WIGWAM- Tombstone Valentine(Gatefold, white vinyl,ltd ed 300.-Label:SVART Gatefold, white vinyl , limited 300. Formed in 1968, WIGWAM recorded "Tombstone Valentine" in 1970 at Finnvox studios, Helsinki, the album was produced by the infamous Kim Fowley and was a wonderful collection of highly original material such as the album title track and compositions like Wishful Thinker, 1936 Lost in the Snow and For America. The Wigwam line-up of JUKKA GUSTAVSON (vocals, organ, piano), JIM PEMBROKE (vocals), PEKKA POHJOLA (bass, violin) and RONNIE OSTERBERG (drums) were joined at the sessions by guests including JUKKA TOLONEN on guitar. Also featured is the mono single version of "I Wanna Be Your Dog", a song Rolling Stone named #438 on its list of "500 Greatest Songs Of All Time", right behind Elvis' "Love Me Tender". The second disc opens with "Asthma Attack", a breathless spectacle of a song written when The Stooges' 20-minute live sets were dominated by arty experiments in feedback and improvisation.
