BLACKLAND- EXTREME HEAVY PSYCH (STONER ROCK)-Label:BLOODROCK The BLACKLAND musical idea was born in 2001 under the previous name of WIZARD (which is kept until 2005), with willer Donadoni (guitar/voice), Nicola "CYNAR" Rossi (drums) and Carlo Gagliardi (bass). Each one of them came from different musical bands playing other standards (HOPELESS, DIRTY POWER GAME, SAMA). The band is turned to exeperiments at the beginning: sounds of stoner and rock music are fused with the typical reflexive mysticism of doom, and its by those atmospheres that songs take their origin, by the extemporization and the convergency of each own personal background. Exhibitions are first characterized by a long and confused repertory, most of them took place in squats, occupied spaces and others underground spheres in Rome and in the rest of Italy (without producing any record or demo). The band goes on with its works of composing until it reaches a certain stylistic coherence, from which in 2005 the recording of its first full-length: EVIL OF MANKIND. During that period of work all members follow different projects in the mean time (such as the GRIMNESS, DPG, DOOMRAISER), which are characterized by differents styles but united in the same dispositions flowintogether. Nowadays, in 2006, the idea is evolving into the uninterrupted research of its own personal style of creating. Carlo bassist leaves the band in March 2007. The band stops for few months and in 2007, enters Daniale "Pinna" Amatori already drummer doomsters DOOMRAISER. With the new formation the band launch a new style sounds likely looking at space-rock. BRUTUS- BEHIND THE MOUNTAINS (Blue Cheer, Sabbath, Pentagram, Grand Funk STYLE) -Label:SVART BRUTUS are a Scandinavian quintet - part Swedish, part Norwegian - that subscribes to the Witchcraft school of throwback hard rock. According to the band, inspiration is drawn from (amongst others) Blue Cheer, Sabbath, Pentagram, and Grand Funk Railroad. In other words: butterfingered, groovy, and psychedelic hard rock! BRUTUS' Behind the Mountains is the band's first album for SVART RECORDS, and second overall. Comments the band: "Behind the Mountains was recorded in various parts over a long period, so it took a while to get ready. But we are really happy with our second album, so it was all worth it. The songs were recorded in Subsonic Society here in Oslo, the same studio that we used for the split EP with Graviators. For mastering and mixing, we used Micke Nilson and Henryk Lipp from Music-a-Matic studio in Gothenburg - same guys we worked with for the debut LP. COSMIC DEAD -ECCIE BAM YAS, E?Label:MONORAIL Eccie Bam Yas, E?' began life as a meditative piece rather than the rocket-fuelled out-rock the band is more associated with. Spliced and reformed by the band, using jams and improvised sets taken from the 'Rainbowhead' recordings in Kyle of Lochalsh, a small village in the North of Scotland. In this remote setting the band recorded a myriad of improvised pieces inspired by the rural surroundings.
