Armed with guitars, drums and with the trademark "1,2,3,4.." assault, the band rip through their 1978 setlist, a near carbon copy of their more familiar NYC performance from the same period which was aired on the King Biscuit Flower Hour. EASY CHAIR - ST-( 68 psych underground 180 gram w handmade cover, plus posters, extended liners/bio and rare memorabilia )-Label:RED FOX Long expected and now re-issued (with remastered sound) for the first time! Easy Chair's 1968 one-sided album, with a running time of 20 minutes, is one of the most sought-after US North-West psych-underground records of all time. Original copies have been sold for over 1.000 US$. Justly remembered as psychedelic rock pioneers, they crammed an amazing career into only one year of activity. Easy Chair performed with the Yardbirds, Cream and the Mothers of Invention. Their epic West Coast blues features the unique chemistry of psychedelic guitar leads, fluid lines and hypnotic chording. By the end of 1968 they caught the attention of Zappa's crew and signed a record contract with Bizarre Records. Unfortunately Easy Chair broke up too soon, though multi-instrumentalist Jeff Simmons, together with drummer Al Malosky, recorded the 'Naked Angels' soundtrack (re-released by WIS in 2008). After releasing his solo album 'Lucille Has Messed my Mind up' in 1969, Jeff joined The Mothers. This limited edition reissue on 180-gram vinyl comes with a handmade cover, plus posters, extended liners/bio and rare memorabilia! LP $44 SKU:16407

LAGHONIA-GLUE- ( Peruvian psych w bio and pics )-Label:WORLD IN SOUND This is the re-release of World In Sound's limited collectors edition from 2006. The core of Laghonia featured a combination of Peruvian and US citizens, Saul Cornejo (vocals, guitar), Manuel Cornejo (drums) and David Levene (lead guitar and vocals). All eight tunes on this album were released on 45s under the group's earlier name New Juggler Sound. When the band changed its name into Laghonia in 1970, the 'Glue' album came out, with lyrics in English, great fuzz-wah-wah guitars, Hammond B-2 organ and appealing percussion. The music is catchy psychedelic rock'n'roll, influenced by the British Invasion, especially the Beatles and Yardbirds, but also explodes with heavy guitar riffage/solos in the vein of Santana, Cream or Hendrix. The album is remastered from the mastertape and includes a poster with a bio and band pics. Both Laghonia LP's, 'Glue' and 'EtCetera', belong to the most legendary and most collectable South-American '70s albums! LP $32 SKU:16408

Lost Soul in Disillusion was one of Montreal's best screaming garage-punk 45s with dischordant organ and strange vocals building up to that menacing break. Back To Me in contrast has a very English uptempo pop/psych feel with fairground organ and is oh, so catchy. Limited to 500 copies. 45 RPM $12 SKU:8895

SUNSETS (AUSTRALIA) - Animal / Uptight Out Of Sight - ( Unrel. 67 ) -Label:BLANK Two completely unreleased, undiscovered, undocumented Sunsets sides! In May 1967 The Sunsets single 'The Hot Generation' b/w 'This Is What It's All About' was issued to co-incide with the release of the Australian surf film of the same name. Both songs were featured in the movie soundtrack. The film was screened, and scheduled for release was another single from The Sunsets, comprising two more songs from the movie. 'Animal' b/w 'Uptight, Out Of Sight' was prepared to be released in August 1967, but one way or the other, it didn't happen. Since then both sides have sat untouched in the Festival label's tape vaults. UNTIL NOW!!!!! 45 RPM $18 SKU:16403

ZAKARY THAKS - BAD GIRL/I NEED YOU ( 60s Texas punk ) - Label:J BECK This bowl-headed bunch of miscreants came from Corpus Christi, Texas and released this punk rock growler in 1966. A strong Stones influenced pounder with snappy guitar breaks and a brick-through-a-glass-window version of the Kinks classic on the flip make this an genuine 2 sider rather than just a sales pitch. Originally released on the legendary J-Beck label - long considered to be a mark of high quality - and reproduced here as such. It was later released on Mercury but this has the original glow. CANTERBURY GLASS- Sacred Scenes and Characters ( 60s Brit psych prog w bonus tracks ) -Label:FLAWED GEMS Canterbury Glass was a great British, late psychedelic/early progressive band that recorded one fantastic album in 1968, which sadly remained unreleased at the time (until 2007) after they lost their momentum when trying to choose between Polydor and CBS for a record deal. This unjustly forgotten band focused on long tracks, complex structures and instrumental interplay and most of an album was filled with truly amazing Pink Floyd/Caravan/The Moody Blues-like sounds with dynamic arrangements, changing moods, prominent Hammond organ sounds, mellotron, flute, hypnotic bass notes and very atmospheric voices. This edition offers the complete, original 6-tracks version, after two missing tracks were found by the band's leader in 2010. CD $18 SKU:16397

FUSE - ST ( 70s rock with 2 future members of Cheap Trick!) -Label:FLAWED GEMS This forgotten US band made a little-known, but great album for Epic in the early 1970's and is mostly remembered for including Rick Nielson and Tom Peterson, two future members of Cheap Trick. The album is an amazing late '60s hard rock/early metal recording inspired by the early progressive movement, with plenty of heavy, but catchy guitar riffs and classical-influenced Hammond and mellotron passages against the very solid rhythm section. LIVERPOOL TODAY-- VA LIVE AT THE CAVERN ( 60s Merseybeat ) -Label: FANTASTIC VOYAG 1965! Released in November 1965 on the independent Ember label, Liverpool Today documents a rare slice of Merseybeat, made doubly collectable by its association with the legendary Liverpool venue, the Cavern. In a move that was not uncommon in the sixties, the recordings were actually made in a studio, albeit the neighbouring Cavern Sounds and were then overdubbed with audience reaction plus announcements by compere Bob Wooler. A truncated version of the album was released in the United States on Capitol. This reissue has been mastered from original tapes and marks the album s debut on CD. Sleeve notes are by Spencer Leigh, presenter of BBC Radio Merseyside's On The Beat. His books include volumes devoted to Merseybeat and the Cavern. Tracks by artists s.a. STALIN- Stalinism - (Rare 80s Japanese punk ) Label:NOISE NOT MUSIC One of the most seminal Japanese punk bands ever, Stalin formed in 1980 and blew away all previous attempts at Japanese punk thanks to their frontman Michiro Endo's crazy on-stage perfomances and their unique style. Even though by the release of their first LP 'Trash' in 1981 Stalin moved towards a more hardcore/punk direction, which resulted in whats known to be their best work - the classic 'Stop Jap' LP from 1982, Stalin's early singles are one of the best examples of what would be 15 years later defined as killed by death punk rock. Originally released in 1987, the 'Stalinism' LP collected their first flexi 7", the 'Stalinism' EP, the 'Fish Inn' flexi single, along with 'Chicken Farm' their contribution to the legendary international hardcore compilation 'Welcome To 1984', to whom Stalin owe a good portion of their cult status.
