This time the duo, consisting of Niels de Wit (ex-Johan, Electric Tears a.o.) and Simone Mansveld (ex-Bugs) has suddenly morphed into Burghers Orquestra, opening new dimensions. Their cute poppy faster louder approach has deepened, inspiration coming from countless different places. Their love for 1960s pop, psych and garage is still a driving force, but on this debut LP, simply called 'Burghers Orquestra,' the simple guitar-bass-drums setup is less dominant. DEAD NITTELS- ANTI NEW WAVE LIGA (legendary "green tape" of one of the first Aussie punk bands 1982)Label:BACHELOR Yes, this is the legendary "green tape" of one of the first Austrian punk bands Dead Nittels. Triggered by their gig with the UK Subs on September 26, 1982 in Ampermoching/Dachau/Germany at the "Gasthaus zur Post", the Dead Nittels booked some studio time to lay down no less than 16 tracks in only three days, on a four track recorder - but the only used two of them - one track for the instruments and one for the vocals, they bought the cheapest tapes available - which happened to be ugly green, and dubbed 300 copies with the studio tracks plus seven live tracks from their UK Subs show. Good luck if you want to track down one of the tapes... For all others, here's the remastered greatness of this early Austrian punk album! LP $28 SKU:25731

EAST (JAPAN) ST (Fascinating Japanese 70s psych) Label:LIFE GOES ON Possibly one of the most fascinating psychedelic albums coming out of Japan in the early seventies. Published in 1972 on Capitol Records' eastern brand, the album was then fully licensed to both the UK and American markets, due to its fascinating and lysergic moments. The opener 'Beautiful Morning' soon became a classic on its own, showing the western influences of the band all along the spirit of the rising sun counterculture. Sweden's first and best mod-revival band The Moderns mixed the love of '60s pop with the intensity of punk and had the big breakthrough around the corner during the short but intense career, including support to Echo & The Bunnymen on their first English tour in 1980. The band's first EP 'The Year Of The Pop' from 1979 is a classic. VELVET ATTACK -VISIONS FROM INNER SPACE (60s based popsike)Label:SOUNDFLAT Velvet Attack are a '60s based indie-rock-group from Dortmund, Germany formed in November 2018 to play velvet popsike melodies boosted by prog/kraut educated guitar approach. The five members have been part of different musical projects (Jelly Planet, Damo Suzuki Band, Astra Kid, The Cheeks), which is reflected in their multi-layered, refined sound. Both of them recorded one side of the album, which originally only existed on two acetate records. It contains epic neo classical prog rock in the style of Renaissance and Continuum, inspired by the wild and pagan isles of St Kilda. The second part of the album has intense Cohen-like songs which were the result of the heartaches and homesickness of a Canadian student who went to university in the UK. CD $19 SKU:24919

OLIVER- STANDING STONE 1974 Welsh cult mind bending rarity -Label:GUERSSEN Now reissued is a Welsh cult private pressing rarity, originally from 1974. Farmer and part-time musician Oliver Chaplin recorded this mind bending album on a portable 4-track Teac reel-to-reel machine, assisted by his brother Chris, an experienced BBC engineer who was involved in sessions with a.o. Syd Barrett. Oliver sang and played acoustic and electric guitars, and plenty of effects were used to create a very unique kind of DIY mutant-psychedelic-blues (think Captain Beefheart) which sounded years ahead of its time. Though the original LP was pressed in an edition of only 250 copies, it caught the attention of a.o. Virgin Records and J.J. Cale, but Oliver decided not to get tangled up in the music industry. 'Standing Stone' is recommended to fans of a.o. Captain Beefheart, Syd Barrett, Fresh Maggots, Comus, Magical Power Maco and Brian Eno. LP $30 SKU:25299
