BABY MONGOOSE - Enter The (JAPANESE garage) - Label:DIONYSUS .The most powerful techno rock attack straight out of Akihabara!! Formed in Tokyo in 2003, this five-member band is a super fun amalgamation of lo-fi, new wave, garage and techno sounds. The 80's flavor that resonates through their songs brings to mind Debbie Harry of Blondie and Dale Bozzio of Missing Persons. Still, their sound is their own, distinctly Baby Mongoose. CD $3 SKU:19743
BAZAR -Drabantbyrock TWO ONLY! (Kick-ass 70s psych/prog hard-rock)Label:SOMMER Kick-ass psychedelic/progressive hard-rock from Norway! Wah-wah fuelled guitar action, organ, flute, melodic vocals and radical lyrics. “Drabantbyrock” combines heavy numbers, West Coast guitar jams and dreamy moments, featuring the superb guitar playing of Bent Patey. Highly recommended for those into Swedish hard-rock bands such as November. 24-Bit Remastering. Insert with liner notes by Klemen Breznikar (It’s Psychedelic Baby) and photos. GRUPO AMIGOS- Paloma mensajera(1973 Pervian psych) Label:GUERSSEN “Originally released as a demo pressing in 1973, this album by Peruvian band Grupo Amigos is without doubt one of the rarest albums from the South American psych scene. Only a handful of copies were pressed for the band members and needless to say, an original copy is impossible to find. The band was formed by some long-time friends of Saúl and Manuel Cornejo of legendary Peruvian bands Laghonia and We All Together. Manuel Cornejo played drums on the album recordings and Saúl was the session engineer. Influenced by groups like the Beatles, Byrds, Stones, Badfinger, Shakers and of course Laghonia and We All Together, the music ranges from terrific guitar psych-rock like 'Dirty Girl' (which sounds like an outtake from Laghonia's first album) to British sounding pop-psych ('Mr. Taylor's Train,' ‘Psychiatrist’), harmony pop á la Byrds on 'Looking for home,’ a few rocking tunes and some beautiful mid-tempo numbers which show their We All Together influence. On this Guerssen reissue, you'll find the complete recordings of Grupo Amigos, including their only album and a killer non-LP 45 recorded the same year. Features an insert with liner notes and rare pictures. Taken from the original master tapes, and limited to 500 copies only GW PICK IMPORT CD $12 SKU:7557
HEARTBROKERS VOL 10 (Original Aussie rocknroll, plus the Don Nix classic Goin Down) Label:OFF THE HIP Remember The Lazy Cowgirls or have you heard Pat Todd’s subsequent work with The Rank Outsiders? The Heartbrokers are coming from a similar musical place without the former’s amped-up abrasiveness, plus a good deal more boogie. Coincidentally considering its name, The Heartbrokers’ song “Rank Outsider” is a reflective moment for pause that’s worth bottling. Van Walker’s knowing vocal really nails it. The languid but warm "Have No Fear" follows and the sequencing makes for a nice pigeon-pairing.
Fact: There's not a bad cut among the 10. It might have been rawly recorded but Van Walker, Lang and co-producer/mixer Colin Wynne have done a bang-up job, sonically speaking. God bless the Melbourne music scene and all who sail in her. 194 CD $13 SKU:19700

JEREMY DORMOUSE - ST (Legendary Canadian hippie psych rarity from 1967-68 w liners & original cover art )-Label:VOID/HALLUCINATIONS (USA) Legendary Canadian hippie psych rarity from 1967-68. One of the hardest to find album collectibles there is. This recording also features a very young Lynda Squires (Reign Ghost) and many other Canadian notables of the day. Original cover art is here as well as liner notes. The master came from the band and sounds great, with male/female interplay throughout. Standout cut is 'Believe Me', a folk gem. There’s also a haunting cover of Leonard Cohen’s 'Suzanne' that is right there as well. This project is also related to the 'Rejects' LP, another lost Canadian rarity. CD $10 SKU:15699
JIM MITCHELLS -Love Hypnotic( psych rock and garage.)Label:OFF THE HIP Since the release of their 2016 EP 'Planet Absorbed', Sydney's five-piece, The Jim Mitchells have become renowned for their spaced-out take on today's psych rock and garage. A mature progression from their first release, ‘Love Hypnotic’ serves as an ode to love and mental struggle. Featuring a softer melodic touch, the debut album shows a depth and versatility to the group that has not previously been on display. It’s a total listening experience as the album moves fluidly into unexpected places, discovering four-to-the-floor rock songs, harmony drenched ballads and plenty of groovy dance numbers. “Shedding the thrashy garage vibes in favour of languid psychedelia,… It’s a beaut. Soak it up.” - HAPPY MAG “The Jim Mitchells delivers potent hooks, throaty growls and breezy harmonies” - ROLLING STONE AUSTRALIA CD $13 SKU:19565

CHILDREN OF THE MUSHROOM- ST ONE ONLY! Rare garage 60s psych Fold-out colour insert with liner notes, interview with the band members, and rare photos. ) -Label:OUT-SIDER (SPAIN) Though they only released one 45 during their existence, Children of the Mushroom epitomized the psychedelic garage sound coming out of California in the late '60s. Formed in Thousand Oaks by Jerry McMillen and Dennis Swansen, they evolved from a mid-'60s teen-beat band called The Captives. In 1967, they became Children of the Mushroom, a name which reflected their new psychedelic sound and image. The following year, they caught the attention of a couple of young producers, who signed the band for a 45 release. Recorded in 1968 for Soho Records, August Mademoiselle/You Can't Erase a Mirror is one of the masterpieces from the first psychedelic era: feedback, fuzz, organ, and mysterious vocals. Soon after, the band incorporated a new guitar player, shortened their name to The Mushroom and started playing in a more heavy psych vein, in a similar style to Iron Butterfly. This retrospective album includes both tracks from their monster 45, with sound taken from the master recordings, plus previously unreleased tracks by The Mushroom, recorded in 1968. These are raw, lo-fi home recordings with lots of fuzz guitar and organ. It's the sound of a psychedelic band in 1968 playing free and wild, without any producer or record label executive telling them what to do. An incredible document. Remastered sound. Fold-out colour insert with liner notes, interview with the band members, and rare photos. CD $17 SKU:16348
HORDE -Press Button Firmly (mid sixties rare garage ) w 4 bonus tracks -Label:BREAK-A-WAY Rarest 60s garage album by North Carolina students from early 1967. Painstakingly remastered at KSL. Undoubtedly the most exciting mid sixties garage album to be recently discovered in the genre, is that by The Horde from North Carolina. The existence of this self produced album came to collectors ears and eyes only about a year ago. It was recorded more or less accidently in early 1967, released in a micro quantity of only 25 copies and among the local US garage albums of the decade it is one of the few eclectic examples with all the ingredients that makes it outstanding compared with the usual prep-school albums of the time. It contains a blend of exciting originals and well chosen, inspired covers, played in a raw, crude and frantic style. If ever it were true that the over-used assertion that a band's cover versions measured up to the originals, then it is true of The Horde. Why? These five 19-20 year old students from all over the United States did not only blaze a trail for 60s rock in then conservative North Carolina, they also had a general attitude that finds its origins in the young peoples mindset of the mid-sixties that put them outside of the local mainstream and gained them a sort of regional underground popularity. CD has 4 bonus tracks. CD $12 SKU:15346

Additionally there are two alternate takes of single tracks and four completely unreleased 1965/66 recordings such as the psych/punker "Lies I Spoke" completely with psychy effects and a raga-esque break; the strong moody folkrocker "Look In Her Eyes" as well as "Reflections" and "Stop Feeling Sorry For Yourself", two tracks from the poppier side of the band. This collection proves : the Jagged Edge were way ahead of their times and finally carve out their slice of rock history. MOUNTAIN -Canadian Festival Express 1970 LAST COPIES!-Label:VOICEPRINT Scorching live recording by Leslie West's legendary band of rockers, recorded at the Canadian Festival Express in 1970. The tenth volume in the Mountain Bootleg Series was recorded on their Canadian Festival Express tour in 1971. As with all the other volumes in the series, all of the recordings come from Leslie West and Corky Laing's personal archives. Some of the performances are not sonically perfect, but the quality of the performances are never in question. When 1970 began, New York hard rockers Mountain were one of the most promising new bands. Their 1969 debut (while the album was titled “Mountain,” it was credited solely to Leslie West) had led to a highly coveted spot in the original Woodstock festival, thrusting the band was into the spotlight. By the year's end, due to their exceptional sophomore effort, “Climbing,” Mountain were one of the US's premier rock outfits CD $10 SKU:19503
MOUNTAIN -Live in San Bernadino, CA 1971 LAST COPIES!-Label:VOICEPRINT Mountain was formed in 1969 by guitarist Leslie West and bassist and former Cream producer Felix Pappalardi. The two met while West was a member of Long Island R&B band the Vagrants When West left the Vagrants to record a solo album it was agreed that Felix Pappalardi would produce the said album which was entitled Mountain. The sessions for the album went so well that it was decided that the pair would form a band and the band would take its name from Leslie’s album. So it was that Mountain was born. Joining Leslie and Felix was drummer N.D. Smart who had also played on Leslie’s album and keyboard player Steve Knight. The band started to gig and whilst the response was positive no one would have dreamed how big the audience would be for the bands fourth gig. In August 1969 Mountain along with the likes of the Who, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby Stills Nash and Young—and of course Jimi Hendrix—played at the Woodstock festival. CD $10 SKU:19504
MOUNTAIN - Live At The Capitol Theater 1974 LAST COPIES!-Label:VOICEPRINT Continuing this great collection of Live Mountain performances here is a show from 1974 from the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey, from the period when the band had re-formed and the core trio of Leslie West, Felix Pappalardi and Corky Lang reunited for a series of successful dates and a great album called "Avalanche". The re-union was unfortunately short lived which makes the recordings on this disc all the more precious. CD $10 SKU:19505
MOUNTAIN - Live At The Capitol Theater 1973 LAST COPIES!-Label:VOICEPRINT This King Biscuit Flower Hour concert was recorded in late 1973 at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey. By this point, the band had been through many of the cliche rock band phases: the breakup, the side-projects, a reunion with new members. The short version of the story is that the band split up, and Leslie and Corky hooked up with former Cream bassist/vocalist Jack Bruce to form the supergroup West, Bruce and Laing, with whom they put out a number of albums. Mountain later reunited, but during '73, the band went on a Japanese tour without Laing, because of an alleged dispute between him and Pappalardi. CD $10 SKU:19516
OCHS, PHIL -The Broadside Tapes 1 (60s) LAST COPIES!-Label:SMITHSONIAN FOLKWAYS Phil Ochs's unique emotion, topical humor, songwriting chops, and sophisticated political perspective are evident throughout these 1962–64 recordings. One of the most compelling voices of the 1960s, Ochs performed these 16 original songs mostly at the offices of Broadside so the magazine could capture their music and lyrics for print. (They're reproduced in the booklet insert.) It's a wonderful mix of tunes, including the whimsical 'Spaceman' and 'Christine Keeler'; 'Hazard, Kentucky,' 'Spanish Civil War Song,' and 'I Another Country' (written after the killing of Medgar Evers); the Beatles' 'I Shoulda Known Better' (a 1964 duet with Eric Andersen at the Village Gate); and the poignant 'Remember Me,' 'The Passing of My Life,' and 'That's the Way It's Gonna Be.' Leon Wieseltier of Washingtonian deemed Ochs to be "the most brilliant and serious and moving and funny singer of the '60s, the movement’s most intelligent contribution to American popular music." Ochs took as a model union organizer and songwriter Joe Hill, who said that "a pamphlet, no matter how good, is never read more than once, but a song is learned by heart and is repeated over and over." Folkways' impeccable sound and documentation does this artist proud, setting Ochs' work off as the treasure it is. CD $8 SKU:19199
PROMISE- ST LAST COPIES! (80s Beatlesque power pop ala Badfinger, Big Star, early Cheap Trick, Emitt Rhodes, The Raspberries, Liverpool Echo, The Scruffs, Shoes, Dwight Twilley Band, etc. ) w liners -Label:GOT KINDA LOST RECORDS (SPAIN) First reissue of the privately pressed 1980 self-titled debut by Colorado power pop band Promise. "An exciting, terrific British Invasion-styled guitar pop album full of catchy, memorable hooks, displaying a tougher, 'rock' edge than most of its ilk and some excellent softer songs. Equally recommended to power pop and '60s rock fans." --Aaron Milenski, The Acid Archives If you're continuously searching the margins for lost artifacts of the pop pantheon, you can find your daily dose in late period exponents of pure, lean, Beatlesque power pop band Promise. Originally issued in 1980 on the Boulder, Colorado, area band's own Cumulus label, their eponymous debut is filled with melodic, beatific blasts of pure pop, replete with ringing, jangly guitars and rollicking crunch. Co-led by singer-songwriters and guitarists Curt Mangan and Danny Mey -- with aid provided by the just-right rhythms of bassist Randy Jones and drummer Gary York -- the group created an album with precious little allying it to the punk-inspired power pop or prescient new wave of the time, instead choosing to hone in on a classicist pop sound highly indebted to those famous moptops from Liverpool. Abetted by the fact that some of the group's members had been playing together since their teenage combos of the mid '60s, the album carries an out-of-time flair across surging rockers and mournful balladry. Got Kinda Lost Records is ecstatic to give this benchmark of privately pressed power pop another chance to shine with this first ever reissue. Includes exhaustive liner notes by Jeremy Cargill (Ugly Things Magazine) culled from interviews with Mangan and Mey. RIYL: Badfinger, Big Star, early Cheap Trick, Emitt Rhodes, The Raspberries, Liverpool Echo, The Scruffs, Shoes, Dwight Twilley Band, etc. CD $15 SKU:16561
ROOSTERS -All of Our Days LAST FEW! (60s jangly garage W stunning never-before-seen photos.) - Label:BREAK-A-WAY The Roosters have been known among fans and followers of the Californian mid 60s folk rock scene for a long time. Their “One Of These Days” b/w “You Gotta Run” 45 has been included on early garage compilations and is a huge favourite among collectors. Less well known is their second and at least as brilliant 45 “Rosebush” / “Ain’t Gonna Cry Anymore”. Additionally there´s a rare 1965 surf/mersey punk single released under the name “Five More”, an early 1965 acetate put down as the Avengers and most of all, three 1966 stunning unreleased folk/garage janglers recorded at Gold Star Studio. This collection finally puts all these gems in one place and unravels the enigmas behind the band on a LP sized full glossy insert with a detailed history of the band emerging from the memoirs of guitarist and songwriter Timothy Ward and the band’s vocalist Ray Mangigian. KHAZAD DOOM- Level 6 1/2 LAST ONE!(RARE Beatles-esque garage psych) -Label:VOID/HALLUCINATIONS RECORDS (USA) MPORT “Khazad Doom! Level 6 1/2! One of the rarest and best of all U.S private psychedelic garage pressings. This is it boys, the legend, the album, the music, that has led us down the ever twining world of collecting private pressings. And we were never to be the same after it was made... In 1964 the band who was later to be called Khazad Doom started to dream of "making it" in Bob Davis’ basement in little ol' Morton Grove, Illinois. After 29 members and multiple names (The Vibratos, The Laymen), three musicians and a "Crow", they formally became Khazad Doom and the legend was born. Jack Eadon, Tom Sievers, Steve "Al" Yates and Steve "Crow" Hilkin became the band that was full of talent, dreams and perserverence. The original album "Level 6 1/2" was released circa 1971 in reportedly just 180 copies making it a mega rarity immediately. Of course who would care about an obscure piece of psychedelic conceptual vinyl? The answer... many collectors worldwide rate the album in the top 5 of all private domestic releases ever! In fact, originals fetch over four figures now! This reissue of just 800 copies, and features the original album plus one cut that was taken from their unreleased second album. The compelling original cover art was kept in tact to enhance this presentation. Put this great album on, sit back and take that much needed trip with Khazad Doom to Level 6 1/2 and beyond...” LP $17 SKU:6279
PRINTS OF DARKNESS - Zindabad (60s Pakistan, reviewed by Mike Stax - Label:RAVI RECORDS Raw, exciting and really quite excellent... fans of fuzz will find a feast of it on this set. The Prints turn in enjoyable readings of ‘Summertime,’ ‘Morning Dew,’ and Country Joe & the Fish’s ‘Rock and Soul Music,’ but it’s their original numbers that really stand out… The band’s bottled-up creative energy comes bursting to a head on the culminating number, ‘Oh Color the Shadowy Distance,’ which starts out as an über-dramatic Doors-in-the-garage exercise atop a ‘Tobacco Road’-type stomp riff, before levitating into a psychedelic instrumental section that sounds a bit like Jorma Kaukonen jamming with the Velvet Underground. Thrilling stuff.” —Mike Stax (Ugly Things) The heavy-vinyl LP (180 gram) is housed in a super-deluxe gatefold sleeve modeled on the Stones’ “High Tide and Green Grass,” complete with a lavishly illustrated and annotated booklet. LP $18 SKU:14746
UNRELATED SEGMENTS - The Story Of My Life – Complete Recordings DBL LP insert with photos and liner notes. -Label:GUERSSEN RECORDS (SPAIN) Sixties punk, garage, moody sounds and proto-hard-rock of the highest order! Complete recordings (1966-1975) of this legendary band from Michigan, including their three killer 45s plus unreleased recordings and alternate takes. Master tape sound, insert with photos and liner notes. The Unrelated Segments created some of the most celebrated garage-punk anthems of all time. Tracks like “Cry, Cry, Cry” with its teenage-angst vocals and out of control fuzztone guitar break, “The Story Of My Life” with that bizarre and ultra-punk bass line or the moody-punker “It’s gonna rain” have been included on countless garage comps (Back From The Grave, Acid Dreams, Nuggets, etc) and have been covered by numerous bands who worship them as 60s punk Gods. Sadly, the band never got the chance to record a full album. After three outstanding 45s, they recorded a projected fourth single that never saw the light of day, just when the band had changed its name to U.S and had started playing in a heavier vein, similar to early MC5. Soon after, the band split up and some of their members formed psych-rock band Lost Nation. On this collection, along with their official 45s and alternate takes / rehearsals, you’ll find the unreleased 45 from 1969 plus some demos recorded by an unnamed post-Unrelated Segments / Lost Nation band in 1972. An amazing find which shows the band playing pure Detroit high-energy hard rock! “The Unrelated Segments emerged from the same downriver suburbs that had produced the MC5, and their suburban mutation was almost as unique. Singer Ron Stults had an unforgettable style somewhere between punk snarl and Brit erudition and the songs he wrote with lead guitarist Rory Mack were catchy and substantial” – Ben Edmonds (Creeem, Rolling Stone, Mojo LP $25 SKU:16282
WHITE LIGHT - Parable (scarce high-powered bluesy garage/psych ‘74) LAST TWO! Label:SOMMER Super scarce high-powered bluesy garage/psych hard-rock beast, packed to the gills with cheesy organ, jubilant fuzz guitar, and frenzied drumming”. – Ken Scott (The Archivist
First ever reissue of this ultra-obscure private pressing (as featured in the last Hans Pokora’s “7001 Record Collector Dreams” book with the maximum scale rarity). Done under license from the band members. Insert with liner notes and photos.Formed in Glasgow in the early 70s, White Light were not an ordinary Xian rock band: influenced by the explosive sound of The Who, the hard blues of John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers and even Black Sabbath, their live performances across the country featured heavy rock sounds, feedback howling round, phased lighting effects and commitment to the real enjoyment of Rock Music. They weren’t formed to play in churches – but to take The Message to the rock generation in loud clubs, halls and big rock venues. In 1972, they were finalists in a national rock competition organized by Melody Maker magazine. This event encouraged the band to enter the studio for the recording of their first album. “Parable” was released as a private pressing in 1974. Housed in a mysterious looking cover, the music is Xian hard psych straight from the garage with lot of raw fuzz guitar and Vox Continental organ.Combining hard-rock with heavy blues and dreamy moments, it features the monster sidelong track “Prodigal”, which has to be heard to be believed. LP $18 SKU:17291
WHITE SUMMER - ST (76 PSYCH HARD ROCK )Label:OUT-SIDER (Spain) First ever vinyl reissue with original artwork of this US private pressing from 1976. Progressive hard-rock with psychedelic touches, melodic vocals, top level musicianship and stunning lead guitar all over. They were: Jim Watkins (drums and vocals), Rick Lowe (guitar and vocals) and David Wheeler (bass). White Summer played many shows at high school dances, outdoor festivals and nightclubs, becoming in the following years one of the top rock acts not only in Michigan but also in Florida, where they relocated at the end of the 70s. Sought-after by collectors worldwide, this is the first ever reissue featuring original artwork. 24-bit domain professional remaster from a mint original vinyl copy (master tapes were lost). MCDONALD,DANNY -FIBROTONES (Aussie powerpop)Label:OFF THE HIP He might not mind the powerpop tag, but Australian singer-guitarist Danny McDonald's output is nowhere near insubstantial. In fact, recent efforts put more celebrated counterparts well in the shade. Danny's a storyteller, painting pictures of rural and beachside Aussie life in a way that few can equal. For the most part, it's set against a musical accompaniment of hooky, finely-honed guitar pop or tuneful garage raunch. In other words, powerpop with balls."Fibrotones" is the latest long-player (for unitiated overseas readers, fibro is a manufactured fibre building product, commonly used in older houses in Australian backblocks and suburbia). It's as good, and maybe better, than Danny's previous efforts, under his own name or that of previous bands P76 and Jericho. A harder-sounding album than 2003's "Summer City", it pulls together familiar themes atop a musical pallette that's as varied as ever but also supremely cohesive. The Fibrotones (as in band) are Paul Inglis (bass) and Mickster (drums), supplemented by Melbourne luminaries Paul Thomas, Ernie O, Ian Wettenhall and Ashley Naylor. - !94 CD $8 SKU:18915

VILLENETTES- LADY LUCK(girly/garage/surf/rockabilly) Label:OFF THE HIP The Villenettes are a rock’n’roll girl gang from Adelaide, Australia. They love Elvis, bad horror movies, leather jackets, and running amok on a Saturday night. They play loud riff-driven songs about zombies, cowboys and jerks and sound a bit like The Shangri La’s jamming with The Ramones, with Poison Ivy on guitar. They want to make you dance like the devil and party like it’s 1959. CD $8 SKU:19251
