Their sole album was recorded in 1969, and originally issued in January 1970. Produced by Vinny Testa (best-known for his association with Frijid Pink), it's a hard-edged mixture of originals and covers, with plenty of fuzz guitar and meaty organ. Like anyone who frequented the club, smoked the odd joint and worshipped at the altar of The 13th Floor Elevators, they became friends with Roky Erickson. He in turn introduced them to Lelan Rogers of International Artists, who promptly signed them up. The group's sound displayed a marked Byrds and Love influence, which doubtless stemmed from the time they had spent in L.A. A planned follow-up album for International Artists unfortunately never came to fruition after the band disintegrated after a 30-day Texas tour with national garage gods The Music Machine. Bitter, Fit Crack is the third full-length album from irreverent English punk rock band, The Macc Lads. It was released in 1987 and follows Beer & Sex & Chips n Gravy from 1985. MAKI & BLUES CREATION, CARMEN- ST (Grace Slick style 70s rock guitar monster )- Label:PHOENIX RECORDS (UK) Released at about the same time as Demon And Eleven Children, the album the beautiful Carmen Maki recorded with the band Blues Creation, this 1971 heavy rock guitar monster reminds us that ...Eleven Children isn't the only heavy album from this ensemble. Maki was probably one of the strongest voices of Japanese rock and is featured here doing her finest Grace Slick impression. Lots of brutal, non-stop wailing guitar but some mellow, bluesy psychedelic rock numbers, too. Further rampaging material from that long-ago evening is presented in this new release: the band plays apprentice to such masters as Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry and Howlin’ Wolf, as well as tackling then-new material by fellow acolytes like the Rolling Stones (whom they’d recently seen in live in concert), the Pretty Things, Animals and Them.

ANTORCHAS, LAS - ST ( ultra-rare 60s Mexican psych w. liner notes, and a poster insert that replicates the Orfeon EP art) - Label:VAM MEXICO Las Antorchas were formed in 1965 by five college students in Mexico City. They released only one EP on Orfeon, but had recorded enough material for an album. They split around 1968/69, but after a line-up change they continued under the name of Antorcha. Thanks to the persistence of VAM Records and record producer Manuel Alvarez Valdez, we now have all known material of Las Antorchas, including their Orfeon material. Their early sounds are rock/beat influenced, with most relying on organ and vocals. But the excellent ‘Dime’ is a really great acid-punk track. BARE SOLE - Flash ( 1969 for fans of Blue Cheer, Iron Claw, Stack Waddy)-Label:SOMMOR RECORDS (Spain LP version. Previously unreleased UK demo album from 1969. The loudest band from Hull in the '60s, Bare Sole played raw, in-your-face psychedelic hard rock and heavy blues. Bare Sole's brief existence at the tail-end of the 1960s reflected the realistic trappings of their geographical situation. Musical icons such as Mick Ronson and Robert Palmer would eventually rise to fame outside of their native Hull, but Bare Sole sadly only managed a handful of out-of-town gigs and a tour of US air bases in Germany. As it was, their entire existence lasted just over a year, but at least their inspired musical legacy has survived thanks to a 1969 recording session held at Fairview Studios. Assisted by writer and producer Keith Herd and galvanized by an enthusiastic local poultry farmer, Bare Sole captured their primitive garage mannerisms in one fiery recording session. Aside from Decca's rejection of their demo tape, Bare Sole continued playing alongside acts such as Family, Status Quo, The Move, and Small Faces, but the inevitable decision to quit came in 1970 and their story came to an end. Flash represents Bare Sole's entire recorded history, taken from the master tapes of their 1969 recording session. Their seductive garage romp boasts explosive doses of fuzz, wah-wah, and Farfisa organ, a sound that recalls an earlier and more primitive sound, but a sound that also may have unwittingly sealed their fate. The album finds Stiv covering songs by The Ramones, The Young Rascals and The Lollipopp Shoppe, plus a song written especially for the proceedings by Tony James (Generation X, Sigue Sigue Sputnik). He also tackles his own old Lords of the New Church rehearsal song "Two Hearts." Do You Believe In Magyk? boasts contributions from Godfathers guitarist Kris Dollimore and Monte Cristos and ex-Sigue Sigue Sputnik guitarist Neal Whitmore. Both Johnny Thunders and Dee Dee Ramone were originally present for the recordings but due to a disagreement both departed without contributing to the album despite urban myths of the contrary.
