With the BLACK KEYS! Detroit Soul R&B legend Nathaniel Mayer come back album w/ members of the Black Keys, SSM, Outrageous Cherry, and the Dirtbombs. "That three successful contemporary rock'n'rollers should have sought out and championed such a lost hero is heroic in itself, and Dan Auerbach, Troy and - most especially - Matthew Smith should be praised to the skies. That the chosen artist should rise to the occasion in such a manner is even more thrilling, which is why I say to Nathaniel Mayer: 'Bravo, Lord Motherf-cker, and deep gratitude for laying this Righteous Thang upon us.' Amen" - Julian - drilled bar code)
T MODEL FORD-Taledragger
On superb re-tellings of blues staples, the fuzzy, thick-as-molasses reverb-fueled blues-rock-chug of the trio menacingly oozes behind the Ford’s blacker-than-blue cracked growl (…) With a little help from his friends, T-Model Ford has once again walked into the studio and bettered himself. – Alan Brown / PopMatters drilled bar code
ANDRE WILLIAMS - Life
Garage soul classic! "One of the last living links to the heyday of dirty R&B, super-soul and first generation booty funk. And certainly one of the few left who still brings it like he means it, every time. He's as real as it gets." – Blurt- drilled bar code

ZZ HILL - BRand New GATEFOLD Blues singer ZZ Hill first made records for Atlantic, Kent, and in 1971 scored his first big hit for United Artists, followed by others on Columbia. In the 80 s he single-handedly started a blues revival in the USA with the smash-it "Down Home Blues". "The Brand New ZZ Hill" was originally marketed as a Blues Opera, an oddity back in the early seventies, and was written by Swamp Dogg and Gary U.S. Bonds. When released it hit both the Billboard Top 200 and the R&B charts and sold over a million singles via six releases. The album has been REMASTERED for this release and is presented here with its ORIGINAL ALBUM GATEFOLD COVER.
CHARLIE WHITEHED - RAW SPITT Charlie Whitehead has been called "the greatest unknown soul artist of all time" by Offbeat magazine. Raw Spitt, his 1970 first full-length, was produced by Swamp Dogg for Canyon records, and is a highly sought after collectors’ album of unconventional Southern Soul (apparently only 500 copies were originally pressed). WORKING CLASS DEVILS -VOL 2 Fuzz, Vodka & Flowers – Polish Psychobeat 1965-1972" Label:BEAT ROAD "A 16-track collection of Polish 1960's rarities. Just when you think you know all about the late 60's/early70's scenes on the planet, along comes the second volume of the mind-broadening Working-Class Devils series to deliver unbelievable cuts and bands. The favorite bands from volume 1 are all there including Krzysztof Klenczon & Trzy Korony's prime freakbeat/psych fuzz rocker, Zdrój Jana's trademark proto no-wave skronky-guitar weirdness or Niebiesko-Czarni horsing around again with a distortion pedal. The newcomers Wi lanie and Lancety take no prisoners with their crude US-style garage punk while Piotr Pastor & S o ce and Wi lanie 69 reveal more folk/hippie leanings thrown in for good measure; there's even a Nederbeat gem that… turns out to be Polish and many, many more. These sides no doubt make for the ultimate in what could be tolerated in an Eastern Bloc country during the Cold War. Most of the tracks are excruciatingly obscure recorded during the cold war and then were shelved before excavated here in their juvenile glory. Non of these is re-issued on vinyl to date, which would spare you years of crate-digging. Couple all that with great band pictures and well-researched and exciting English-written liner notes and you have one hell of a disc including songs that could stand proud alongside anything released in the Free World at the time. 500 copies only." DOORS -Feast of Friends NTSC-Label:EAGLE VISION Feast of Friends, filmed in 1968, was the first and only film produced about The Doors by The Doors. It offers a cinematic look at The Doors on the road during their summer ’68 tour. Whilst never truly completed, the film provides a stylistic approach in true sixties cinéma vérité style. Concert performances are intercut with fly-on-the-wall footage of the group in their natural habitat, sometimes playful, sensitive, chaotic and touching. Other than a few appearances in film festivals in 1968, an official release would never be seen until now. Completely restored from the original negative, as supervised by Jim Morrison, the film has been colour corrected and cleaned in high definition with the soundtrack totally remixed and remastered by long-time Doors’ collaborator Bruce Botnick.

ROLLING STONES - Some Girls (Live In Texas'78) BLUE RAY -Label:EAGLE VISION The Rolling Stones 1978 tour of the USA in support of that year's Some Girls album is considered by fans to be one of their very best. The tour followed immediately on the release of the Some Girls album and by the time the band arrived in Texas in mid-July the album had hit the No.1 spot on the US charts. The tour took a back to basics approach, with the band and their music very much at the forefront and little or no elaborate staging. Filmed at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 18th, 1978, this concert is typical of the tour with the Rolling Stones delivering a raw, energetic
performance in front of a crowd who are clearly loving the show. Many of the tracks from Some Girls are included in the live set with a sprinkling of Stones classics from earlier albums. Originally shot on 16mm film, the footage has been carefully restored and the sound remixed and remastered by Bob Clearmountain from the original multitrack tapes. This is undeniably the Rolling Stones at the peak of their form. / Bonus Features: Newly filmed interview with Mick Jagger; Tomorrow featuring Dan Aykroyd and Mick Jagger from Saturday Night Live, October 1978; Shattered , Respectable and Beast Of Burden performed by The Rolling Stones, introduced by Laraine Newman from Saturday Night Live, October 1978; Excerpts from ABC 20/20 Special, introduced by Hugh Downs with interviews by Geraldo Rivera from 20/20, June 1978 5 mins in total includes Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Bill; Interview with Mick [France Aug 2011] 15 mins / DVD/CD DVD $20 SKU:21002
ROLLING STONES - Rock And Roll Circus- NTSC- Label:ABKCO This film documents a 1968 performance from rock legends the Rolling Stones, the Who, John Lennon, Eric Clapton and others. Mick Jagger's girlfriend, folkie Marianne Faithfull, also sings. The unconventional concert takes place in a carnival-like setting, and the musicians don outlandish apparel to match the garish backdrop. Jagger acts as the ringmaster and introduces the bands, and a collaborative blues set by Lennon, Clapton and Stones guitarist Keith Richards is also featured. DVD $10 SKU:21004

ATMOSPHERA (Israeli prog 1977)Label:ANAZITISI RECORDS & IKAROS MUSIC (Greece) Atmosphera broke into the Israeli progressive rock scene in 1977, a classic progressive rock based on the Israeli pop music of the sixties (bands like The Churchill’s, The Lions Of Judah, Uzi and the Styles, and such). They began life as a band just as one of Israel’s best progressive bands, Zingale, disbanded after releasing their only album, "Peace." With Zingale gone, their guitarist Efraim Barak joined Atmosphera—his bottled lightning style as a soloist and high voice suited the band, who had adopted the classic sound of popular UK progsters Yes. Atmosphera's first album, based on the British poet Alfred Lord Tennyson's 'The Lady Of Shallot', and some of the stranger stories about the Knights of the Round Table; the band recorded two sections, then broke up in 1978. Despite its short life, Atmosphera was a breath of fresh air in the Israeli reality of the mid-seventies onwards. They showed that there were talented musicians in Israel and that quality music could be created there. (surely The Churchills, Jericho, Zingale, and others had done that? —Lion). In 2001, the music of Atmposhera was released on a CD that quickly sold out. It is a great pleasure to honor this great music again, for the first time in the vinyl format, the right format. Official reissue in collaboration with ARS Records, Israel. Includes: special carton (canvas like) cover; a 4-page insert with bio and photos. Limited to 150 black copies. 180gr vinyl as usual. PVC protective outer-sleeve LP $30 SKU:20962
ILIAS ASVESTOPOULOS & 2002 -O Siderenios Anthropos -The Iron Man( Great Greek psych/prog 1974)-Label:APS NOVA (Greece) Ilias Asvestopoulos was a previous member of the garage band Persons (with members of the legendary Socrates) playing mostly covers of known hits (i.e. 96 Tears). He founded 2002 in 1974 (!), and together they recorded two albums. It’s the second LP, "O Siderenios Anthropos" (The Iron Man) that gets people excited. It’s an essential gem with great guitar /organ work. Not a stoned psych jam album here, but a very enjoyable psych/prog LP typical of the period—but really ahead of it's time for the just "out of the junta" Greek reality of this partciular period of history. A mega-limited numbered edition of 250 copies LP $22 SKU:20960
KROKODIL-SWAMP(1970 Krautrock legends) 180 gram Label:KROKODIL First official reissue of the second Krokodil album, "Swamp". The infectious album, originally issued by Liberty in 1970, shows a band in flux between the scorching boogie-workouts of their eponymous debut and the massive stoned psych action of their third album masterpiece ("An Invisible World Revealed,"). Many German and Swiss groups attempted to sing in English to broaden their audience and virtually all failed to do so. Yet "Swamp" reveals itself to be one of the best examples of this phenomena, venturing into Van Morrison, Fairport Convention, and even Wailers territory at times, even as the rest of the band experimented with sitars, flutes and avant percussion. A great artistic development for the band without ever drifting into pop clichés. Recorded at Bavaria-Tonstudios, München. Comes on 180-gram vinyl, presented in a gatefold sleeve with an embossed crocodile leather front cover. The printed inner sleeve offers many previously unpublished photographs. •First official reissue of the second Krokodil album. •180 gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve with an embossed crocodile leather front cover LP $30 SKU:20980
MANDHYLON -Negra ciudad(68-70 Argentine beat psych )LP + color insertLabel:LION From the ashes of the mythical Argentine duo Sandhy & Mandhy—who recorded in 1969 the intensely rare and beloved album “Para Castukis” (reissued by Lion Productions on vinyl and CD), a record suffused with beat and psychedelic influences—comes this resurrection by Mandhy of his "Celestial Stories." Alberto Vanasco Jr. (Mandhy) resumes his musical tale with twelve tracks written between 1968 and 1978. Recorded with the analogue essence and sound of the 70s, using vintage instruments like Farfisa and Hammond organ, and fuzz guitar. Features Argentine rock legends Nexus as the backing band. A record which brings together all of the various crucial elements of Argentine rock music: psychedelia, heavy blues, classic rock, and progressive rock. Stunning LP $25 SKU:20954
MYSTERY PLANE-Still Life (70s Amon Duul style) Label:COLOR DISC : Mystery Plane formed in 1980 from the ashes of 70's new wave band 3D5 who's line-up also featured future Cure member Porl Thompson. This record was originally a demo cassette made in 1981 that was hawked around record labels with a view for release. Later Color Tapes released a 100 copies edition. To support their demo at the time the band played such gigs at the Marquee, Rock Garden and The Bridgehouse supporting bands such as Fad Gadget, Modern English and Henry Padovani (Ex-Police) in London. This sublime minimal basement krauty synth LP was inspired by bands such as Neu, Amon Duul ll, and "Vienna" period Ultravox. The album features guitar work of Gerald O' Connell who was a big fan of Ash Ra Tempel's guitarist Manuel Gottsching. A year later he went on to form Lives Of Angels who made the classic cold wave album "Elevator To Eden" which was originally released on Color Tapes in 1983. Mystery Plane have been featured on the sold out Cold Waves Of Color compilation series. The album has been remastered by Denis Blackham and comes complete with a poster insert. (LP) Import edition, limited to 250x copies. LP $12 SKU:20978

OUT OF FOCUS- ST 180g Vinyl (70s Krautrock w psych influences)Label:MISSING VINYL heavy progressive Krautrock from the very early seventies, with lots of organ/guitar/flute riffing; this is their jazzier second album, from 1971, which includes the seventeen-minute long "Fly Bird Fly Television Program" (a great song, a great song title); extended instrumentals and abundant solos. Fully authorized. Limited, deluxe exact reissue on 180g vinyl, expertly remastered from the master-tapes. LP $24 SKU:20983
OUT OF FOCUS-Four Letter Monday Afternoon DBL LP Label:MISSING VINYL What do you get if you cross Jethro Tull with Pink Floyd and take away the Blues influence: Out Of Focus!” Lucky for us then that this excellent band from Munich made three extraordinary albums on the super-collectable Kuckuk label before fading away. Hennes Herring on keyboards (mainly Hammond organ), Remi Dreschler on guitars, Moran Neumuller on vocals and wind instruments, and Klaus Spöri and Stefan Wisheu on drums and bass respectively made an incredibly tight unit. Their music was somewhat similar to early British prog, but gradually evolved into a kind of jazz-rock of an XHOL Caravan type. Another view, this time from the invaluable Crack in the Cosmic Egg guide to Krautrock: “It seems amazing that a band were able to start off with a masterpiece and better it with each subsequent album, yet that's what Out Of Focus did! Existing for ten years or so, Out Of Focus were amongst the finest of German rock fusion bands. Formed in late 1968 in Munich, they rapidly established a stylish and refined blend of rock and jazz that also had psychedelic overtones. The early albums exhibited that unique character of Krautrock (akin to Xhol Caravan, Thirsty Moon, etc.), with pure invention in a music that transcends boundaries, taking the rock song beyond its normal format with extended instrumentals, featuring an abundance of solos and surprises. I would argue that Out Of Focus started excellent, and got even better with each album. Probably the finest of all their albums was the monumental double “Four Letter Monday Afternoon” (almost certainly a dedication to Soft Machine and their revolutionary “Third” album). It had mainly instrumental and lengthy tracks; although the first record of the set is a little more down to earth, the unprecedented surprise is the extended suite that encompassed the whole of the second LP. It's a shame that Kuckuck withdrew its interest in Krautrock in the mid-70's, as it left Out Of Focus without the chance of a contract elsewhere. There were plans for a release with the April/Schneeball collective in 1975, in fact an album was recorded, yet all that eventually emerged was one track on a festival LP, by which time they had changed into a more conventional jazz-rock band, featuring only one original member: Remigius Drechsler (who subsequently went on to Embryo). LP $24 SKU:20984
PELOMA BOKIOU - ST (underground Greek rock 1972) DBL LP Label:APS NOVA(Greece) Peloma Bokiou were a short-lived underground Greek rock band that released only one album in 1972 and three singles (1970-71). A recipe for being utterly forgotten, if not for the fact that their sole album is one of the best rock/progressive albums from Greece (yes, this statement holds true even for a nation which produced tremendous bands like Socrates, Aphrodite’s Child, and Axis). Vlassis Bonatsos ended up becoming a television and film star in Greece, until his untimely death in 2004. This mega-limited numbered edition of 250 copies includes all of the band’s ultra-rare singles tracks too. Great organ and guitar work!" LP $35 SKU:20959
SERGUEI - Psicodélico 1966-1975 Label:GROOVIE SERGUEI is quite possibly the best kept musical secret from Brazil's glorious 60's/70's scene. Sérgio Augusto Bustamante was a flight attendant. In the sky, above the clouds, he used to daydream about Elvis. One day, he came down from the heights, added a "u" to the Russian name Sergei, which he took out from a friend. With his colorful clothes, long hair, red contact lenses, and hippie flags of peace & love, the anti-commercial Serguei had a public image much bigger than the number of records he was able to produce. Serguei tried psychedelia, tropicalism, and even Brazilian folk music without settling down into any musical style. His short adventure with singer Janis Joplin (in the summer of 1970 in Rio) has always been the most prominent reason for Serguei's mention in music history; but it's the records he released between 1966 and 1970 that have caught the attention of collectors. "I've never been recognized, few people give me value," he told Pop magazine in April 1978. This is no longer true, thanks to this collection of rare singles. Serguei self-proclaimed himself as “psychedelic” long before anyone else. He sang his hallucinations, found someone from alpha centaur and went in search of peace, from sunrise to sunset. His music ranges from psychedelic to garage psych, fueled by fuzz guitar (a track on "Guitar Fuzz Bananas" bears witness to this), with arrangements that are typical of genius.”

SHIVA'S HEADBAND -The Singles Collection(1966 TEXAS psych )PIC DISC -Label:BLUETHROAT RECORDS "Flash back (literally) to 1966 when Austin was first feeling its oats as musical hotbed. The 13th Floor Elevators were the headliners and Conqueroo the in-crowd favorites; the third member of the Unholy Three was Shiva's HeadBand. Spencer Perskin was their flamboyant frontman, wailing away on electric violin and leading all God's children to the promised land of psychotropic drug-induced bliss. He had a wonderful partner in pianist Shawn Siegel, and a rhythm section second to none. They may have never gotten the absolute adulation of the Elevators, but in many ways Shiva's was the true hometown hero." "Shiva’s Headband are routinely ranked alongside Texan contemporaries 13th Floor Elevators and The Moving Sidewalks. Their raw-boned, sinuous and superb 1968 debut single, 'Kaleidoscoptic/Song For Peace,' fair reeks of head shop joss sticks, but the following year’s 'Take Me To The Mountains' is rather more representative: a country-rock scuffle, topped with Perskin’s scratchy fiddle, in which one can almost discern the approving clang of spittoons." —Record Collector magazine " To this day, the extravagantly-bearded Shiva’s Headband violinist/vocalist Spencer Perskin resides in Austin, Texas and still fronts a version of the band he formed in 1967. The Singles Collection compiles the four 45s they released between 1968 and 1975, appending three live tracks, and comes to you in the form of an agreeably lurid vinyl picture disc in a limited run of 1,000 copies. ABSTRACTS -Hey Let’s Go Now (60s Brit invasion style)Label:BREAKAWAY They were one of the first bands to utilize a light show and besides their sole 45, their legacy contains a cache of unreleased period recordings, some of them made for Columbia Records in 1964. Finally, over four decades later, this album collects the band’s entire studio material alongside two excellent sounding 1966 live tracks. An in-depth insert with a wealth of never-before-seen-photos traces the history of the band that brought “Abstractmania” to the New York area in the sixties. LOST SOULS-mid 60s unknown U.S. Brit Invasion/ psych)Label:LION The Lost Souls never released any records, yet the meager recorded evidence that survives indicates that they were one of the finest unknown American groups of the mid-'60s, able to write both catchy British Invasion-type rockers and, in their latter days, experimental psychedelic pieces with unusual tempo changes and song structures. The band were also unusual in their occasional embellishment of the typical period guitar-bass-drums lineup with flute, sax, and mandolin. Although popular in their Cleveland hometown, they broke up in 1968 to attend college. Rhythm guitarist Denny Carleton, who wrote and sang some of their best material, went on to briefly join The Choir, their chief (and more successful) rivals." —Richie Unterberger The music scene in Cleveland in the mid to late 1960’s was ripe with talent: the James Gang with Joe Walsh and Glenn Schwartz, The Choir, Eric Carmen (pre-Raspberries), Glass Harp with Phil Keaggy, the Damnation of Adam Blessing… and the Lost Souls. Of all those bands, only the Lost Souls never released a record. Then again, they were in high school, trying to navigate dress codes and bullies—and playing in front of a couple thousand fans when not suspended. Sure, they lost a battle of the bands at Teen Fair 1968, but it was to the James Gang with Joe Walsh. And somehow it is the Lost Souls who emerge from that time and place with the greatest mystique and some of the most adventurous music, music which few have heard. Lost Souls main songwriter Denny Carleton released a cassette of the band’s original recordings in 1984. It received airplay on hundreds of college and public radio stations in the USA (and around the world), and garnered glowing reviews… and that was it, until now.Not only is this the first time the music of the Lost Souls has been available since that cassette, our Lion Productions edition is the first release for many additional Lost Souls cuts, including alternate versions of key tracks like the insightful ‘Things That Are Important’ and ‘I’m Falling’ (the closest to a hit the band ever had), all taken from the original tapes and carefully mastered. Seven bonus tracks highlight the work of Lost Soul's main songwriter Denny Carleton (one-time member of The Choir, and more surprisingly, punk legends the Pagans); selections by The Choir, Moses, Milk and Carleton, many in all possible low-fi glory, recorded on various 4-Track devices, ranging from power-pop to grimy garage.•Whopping 32-page booklet has the full story of the band and info on the recordings by Carlton •Includes a multitude of unseen photos from his personal archive•Carefully remastered from the original tapes (+ the occasional post-Lost Souls 45 single) •”One of the great lost groups of the 60's.” —Option Magazine CD $14 SKU:20365
ASTRAL DAZE- VA VOL 1(70 s Psychedelic South African Rock) - Label:FRESH Although the South African rock movement of the late sixties and early seventies was not a major commercial success, it's participants heralded an exciting new age in South African rock and started a movement aimed at changing the musical tastes of fans in a spectacular way. Stadium concerts became the vehicle for feeding the youth with heavier rock sounds, and behind studio glass were producers like Clive Calder, Billy Forrest, Graham Beggs and Selwyn Miller who acted as change agents to transform conventional pop into heavier 4 to 5 minute songs. The movement's struggle for recognition through airplay remained unanswered and only the true fans of rock knew about their existence. This collection brings together rarities from artists we know (tracks from Abstract Truth, Suck, Otis Waygood, Freedom1s Children, John & Philipa Cooper, McCully Workshop, Third Eye, and Hawk), as well as others we1ve not heard before, like Omega Ltd., the Bats, the Fireflies, the Idiots, Tidal Wave, and the Invaders. D- MEN - I Wanna Shout 4 page insert (US mid 1960's Garage Rock and Roll.)- Label:BREAKAWAY Take the 14 tunes of this platter, add a band named The D-Men, and you've got a driving, shaking demonstration of US mid 1960's british invasion influenced Garage Rock and Roll. The D-Men are best remembered today for their minor hit success with 45’s such as “I Just Don’t Care” or “So Little Time”. Their biggest success and recognition though, came in 1967 under their new name “The Fifth Estate” when they charted nationwide with their baroque rock adaptation “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead”. But it’s the 1964 – 66 recorded tracks on this platter which were first played to the neighbourhood kids and then to wild fans which often brought the house down. Included are “Boom Boom," "Hi Heel Sneakers," and their unreleased demo recording of The Stones "Empty Heart". This punctuates its garage rock beat, with a fuzz ing deep guitar riff and sing ing with the sinister resentment that certifies the track as Nuggets ready. But the band had much more to provide than just cover material. With a gift for writing hooks and catchy melodies a string of excellent originals exposes the hidden side of The D-Men perfectly. "Like I Love You" recaptures the Anglopop charms of the British Invasion, even self-consciously sprinkling Fab Four-isms. "Don't You Know," is a song laced with the organ and guitar interplay ideally suited to take on The Animals, The Searchers, and The Dave Clark Five. More Beatlesque notions are provided in "Love Could Show Me", "I Just Don’t Care" and "Don't You Know," tracks that typify the group's early Merseybeat style. A long lost punk rock gem such as "When I'm Gone" explodes with all the subtlety of The Kingsmen's "Long Green" mugging The Kinks' "Till The End Of The Day," as Paul Revere and The Raiders' "Just Like Me" gets ready to pounce. The outstanding “So Little Time”, earned meager attention beyond the regional market. In truth, it deserves a place among the great, if overlooked, slices of hard-edged East Coast folk rock. All these tracks make up a significant part of the group's legacy. A legacy that will only be complete with such recordings as "It's Cruel," the psychedelic "Night On Fire," and the explosive live recording of "I Wanna Shout". This collection has the flamable stuff of the mid 60s beat generation – it’s something the kids could shake it up to. If you didn’t do then, do it now! The disc features painstakingly remastered sound and a 4-page insert with rare photos from the band’s scrapbook and a detailed band history written by Joseph Tortelli LP $ SKU:16045
ELOY - ST (1971 German prog) 180 GRAM DELUXELabel:MISSING VINYL LP w/die-cut cover)Originally released on Philips in 1971. First ever audiophile edition w/exact replica of the original die cut cover. Taken from the original master tapes. Official, deluxe 180g vinyl pressing; 1000 pieces limited. "The debut recording from one of Germany's most accomplished progressive rock bands. The band was originally co-led by vocalist Erich Schriever and guitarist Frank Bornemann, and the two differed on musical direction, which is evident here. The band was essentially a hard rock act at this time with a sound similar to Black Sabbath and Atomic Rooster. Although their technical abilities are not yet fully developed, it has an intrinsic quality. 'Today,' in particular, demonstrates the band's abilities to create catchy songs. While Eloy would move in a more progressive direction, which would yield more consistent results, they would never sound as honest and vulnerable as they do here. One of progressive rock's most underrated bands." LP $25 SKU:20931
GILA - Night Works (1971 psych rock masterpiece) Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): Gila is probably the GOD label's best or second-best known artist. And deservedly so... their eponymous 1971 debut album (known as 'Free Electric Sound') is a psychedelic rock masterpiece. The same foursome (fronted by guitarist/vocalist Conny Veit, who later had a stint with Guru Guru) then recorded a concert for radio, broadcast on 26 Feb 1972. This was subsequently edited down to 43 minutes—adly that is all that still exists of the show. Released here as "Night Works," it captures a different dimension of the band in a live setting. On tracks like ‘Braintwist’ and the wonderfully cosmic ‘Gila Symphony,’ the group comes across much like the Doors doing their own “Space Ritual.” However, the overall mix of textures ends up sounding very Germanic in the end; for example, the outstanding ‘Trampelpfad’ simply couldn't have been created by an American group. The source tape isn't perfect (a few noticeable dropouts now and again) but we’re glad that the magnificence of this single performance is still preserved. All of the tracks included here are unique to “Night Works,” making it a true second album by the band’s original lineup. Cover artwork was painted by Gila guitarist Conny Veit himself. The 12-page LP-sized booklet contains an extremely elaborate history of the band in German, English and Swedish, a very meticulous discography, numerous cover and label repros, many so far unseen Gila photographs, leaving nothing left to be desired. Limited edition of 1000 numbered LPs.

HANUMAN- ST (1971 German prog Krautrock)180 GRAM Label:MISSING VINYL The label says: “Hanuman was a post MURPHY BLEND, that recorded this excellent German progressive Krautrock album on the KUCKUCK label in 1971. The lyrics are strongly politically and socially engaged, while it is musically very similar to the first two OUT OF FOCUS albums, but more lyrical. This album, is a perfect example of the early 70s German progressive Krautrock scene and should be part of every serious 70s progressive rock collection. Limited edition, deluxe 180g vinyl, exact reproduction of the original first pressing. Classic German Krautrock album from 1971. Post Murphy Blend outfit. Fully authorized. Limited, deluxe exact reissue on 180g vinyl. Expertly remastered from the mastertapes. First ever exact reissue.” Additional information from the Lion Productions archives: Berlin band formed by Murphy Blend organist Wolf-Rüdiger Uhlig in May 1971 at a festival in Munich, along with a trio of jazz and blues musicians. Hanuman took the Murphy Blend sound, sans the classical style, and developed a sound that hinted at that of Out Of Focus, although with a more lyrical and offbeat sensibility. Without Uhlig, who left after this album, Hanuman metamorphosized into Lied Des Teufels LP $24 SKU:20930

KALACAKRA -Crawling to Lhasa PIC DISC of psych jewel 1972-dinged copiesLabel:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): Picture disc of this psychedelic jewel, that fully deserves its mythical, mystical reputation. Kalacakra's "Crawling To Lhasa" contains eight tracks of mantric acid-folk self-released in 1972 by the apparently drugged-out duo of Claus Rauschenbach (guitars, kongas, percussions, vocals, harmonica, slentem) and Heinz Martin (electric guitars, flute, piano, vibraphon, schalmi, cello, violin, synthesizer). Their strange, hippie sense of humor and obsession with the culture of Tibet (the name Kalacakra is the Tibetan term for "wheel of time") results in some fantastically nonsensical, eastern-influenced psychedelia. The album begins with the dark, hypnotic ‘Nearby Shiras’, a song about a plague-ravaged town in old Persia; as their crawl to Lhasa continues, Kalacakra venture into zones of lovely folk-strum and raga-rock, before the album wraps up with a deranged and damaged blues stumble called ‘Tante Olga’. Garden of Delights do their usual thorough job with a thick insert full of liner notes (in German and English), plus photos of Claus and Heinz looking about as weird and long-haired and hippie-ish as it's possible to get! Limited to 1000 hand-numbered copies. Includes an 8-page insert. LP $18 SKU:20885
KENNY AND THE KASUALS- 1966-1968 THE SINGLES...PLUS 180g Vinyl IMPORT (Garage/Beat/Psych) -Label:MISSING VINYL Texas had without any doubt a great number of fine and very original bands during the 60s,with The 13th Floor Elevators at the very top of the list of course, followed by almost forgotten groups that recorded whole albums like the great Golden Dawn, Lost & Found or the positively weird Red Crayola. There were also many garage bands that have appeared on countless comps. One of the very best of these was Kenny & the Kasuals. Thus it is that we are excited about this original twenty track compilation fully authorized by Kenny B. Daniel, containing the best tracks the band recorded between 1966 and 1968. All their singles, plus several unreleased tracks too; all originals, including the local killer fuzz-bass classic, 'Journey to Tyme'. One of the best examples of US garage, teenbeat and proto-psych, and a must have for each and every serious garage/psych collector. Limited edition, deluxe 180g vinyl. First ever vinyl issue of this title. LP $22 SKU:20887

LIGHTSHlNE- Feeling( 1976 psych masterpiece Pink Floyd style) Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): A psychedelic masterpiece, with flute. A pleasure for your ears. Very ambitious. Like early Pink Floyd or Amon Düül II. From the master tapes. One of the very best records on Garden of Delights. Purely psychedelic music—impressive songs played by talented musicians, recorded professionally. Everything fits together quite perfectly. Fans of early Pink Floyd will thoroughly enjoy the LP. All songs, except for the rather catchy "Lory", are very mysterious and reveal their real beauty only after being listened to for several times. It's a shame that Lightshine from Emmerich did not release any further material, as this album is an aural pleasure from the first to the last. The original LP was released on the Trefiton label in 1976. The new edition contains a four-page insert with a detailed band history in German and English, song lyrics, discography, photographs, and much valuable information on the Trefiton label. LP $24 SKU:20886

PENTAGON -Die Vertreibung der bösen. (70s German blues prog).Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): "Pentagon was the first group on the small Munich label German Blues and Underground, which later on also released the two Siloah records. The 7” single was supposed to be followed by an LP, but it never got beyond the dubplate/acetate stage, a kind of demo pressing. A music cassette, however, was released, the simple cover of which was used for the LP cover, too. Although very young at the time, the three musicians already played respectable blues rock. The tracks of side 2 of the vinyl album were taken from the master tape, the tracks of side 1 were digitally decrackled by Cedar’s NoNoise system. It’s a first-class find, saved from oblivion in the very last minute. The title means in English “The expulsion of the evil spirits from the Pentagon”. Limited edition of 1000 numbered LPs. Comes with 8-page LP sized booklet. LP $24 SKU:20883
ROYAL SERVANTS- We(1970 Krautrock with 12 page insert) Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS Only recordings (from 1970) by the forerunners of great Krautrock band Eulenspygel; this material is from their transitional phase, as they made their weird way from beat/r&b to psychedelia; long tracks sung in English, all from the original mastertapes. A great German group. One of the most oft-requested older Garden of Delights titles. This wonderful edition contains an LP-sized 12-page insert. Limited to 1000 hand-numbered copies. LP $26 SKU:20927
SILOAH -Sukram Gurk( 60s punk style psych-Kraut 1972)Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS Second album (1972) finds the commune dwellers moving out of their farmhouse away from pastoral settings, buying an organ, and going for an Atomic Rooster sort of sound; different musicians equals different style, as the new music was dominated by frantic organ sounds; the result was another underground classic—primitive and rambling, and resembling US sixties punk more than anything; ‘Magic Carpet Ride to the Alps’ and ‘Feast of the Pickpockets’ stand out, but the whole album is pretty hard to ignore if you like psychedelia. Limited to 1000 hand-numbered copies. LP $24 SKU:20928
THOR'S HAMMER - ST (Icelandic garage legends! 65-67)Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS Danish band’s Metronome album (1971), the one and only record by one of those groups that promised much, but never went further than an eponymous debut; their music was close to Burnin' Red Ivanhoe, Blast Furnace and the jazzy style of bands like Traffic, with long tracks with killer wah-wah guitars, swirling organs, wild vocals and twisted psychedelic sax-breaks; ‘Mexico’ is perhaps the most effective track on the album (paraphrasing the well-known sax riff from Traffic's "Freedom Rider"), although the whole record is strong. Their one and only LP holds the sad record of being the most bootlegged LP in Denmark. This first legal LP reissue is accompanied by a 4-page insert in LP format, containing a detailed band history in German, English and Danish language, a comprehensive discography including side and solo projects, cover and label reproductions, and band photographs. A deluxe edition, hand-numbered and limited to 1,000 copies, pressed on 180g vinyl. LP $24 SKU:18026
