FUZZTONES - HELP MURDER POLICE - Label:Teensound During the late 90's Misty Lane and Rudi Protrudi worked together on a few projects. Previously unreleased 60's Tracks by King Arthur's Quart and late 70's Tina Peel material were released on a 7" EP and LP respectively. A track by Rigor Mortis,(Rudi's band in 1970) was included in the Basementville U.S.A. LP Compilation,while a whole bunch o' Fuzztones fave 60's covers were re-recorded by Rudi and The Others in Rome. Some eventually ended in the "Yellow Purple and Green" LP Shared with Gonn' Craig Moore as guest on the flip side. In 2001 The Fuzztones toured Italy and stopped at Delta Studio in Rome to cut a 3 song EP that went sold out within' just a few months. Produced by Massimo del Pozzo this 7" EP shows the 'Tones having a great fun with 2 60's Garage Punk classics originally done by Texas gods the Thursday Children ("Help,Murder Police") and legendary Wailers ("Out Of Our Tree") as well re-recording a 'Tones classic "Brand New Man". Pretty soon the band would cut their Garage-Psych masterpiece "Salt For Zombies", released on vinyl by Teen Sound/Misty Lane. But these 3 tracks recorded and mixed in just one day sound as fresh and fun as they can be. A limited edition of 300 copies has been repressed. 45 RPM $12 SKU:11258

DILS-Dils Dils Dils (70s L.A punk)-Label:Dionysus e Dils were one of the biggest draws on the late '70s L.A. punk circuit. Led by harmonizing brothers Chip and Tony Kinman, the group played short, aggressive songs with political lyrics, often from a socialist viewpoint. During the group's four years of existence, it only released three 7-inch singles; all of their albums were posthumous, culled from the singles and various live performances. The group later evolved into Rank and File. CD $12 SKU:556

FIREBIRDS- Light My Fire (60s stoners)-Label:CROWN The 1968 released 'Light My Fire' album by the Firebirds , is a loose stoner heavy power album and a truly awesome relict from the Sixties. It offers a very heavy, psych flavored hard rock with blistering guitar leads inspired by the likes of Hendrix, Cream and early Blue Cheer. With the exception of the title track, all songs are group originals and the song writing is simply amazing. Considering this is a so-called exploitation album, the band has a stunning musical quality, which made the LP sought after and highly prized by collectors over the years. The new edition contains all track stated on the cover incl. 'Free Fuzz' and 'Free Drum'. Both these recordings were not included on the original album, but ended up on another exploitation album the same people did under the moniker 31st Flavours for the same label.
