The Amazing fell far from the tree. A natural process: coming together through affection, then slowly crystallising into a folk-rock-psych-pop- collective slowly pushing, bending then playing with any preconceived notions of pop. Friends first and foremost, its this kindred spirit that imbues the bands debut with a feeling unlike that of most releases - one of natural harmony, persistent progression and with a panoramic gaze fixed on distant settings. Their 2009 debut album has received unanimous critical acclaim worldwide. This is their follow up a new mini-album with an all-encompassing sonic soundscape of groovy electric folk rock, psychedelic pop and heavy jams. AVE ROCK - ST (70s space psych)Label:WORLD PSYCHEDELIA (Korea) ExcellOne of the most mysterious and sought after albums ever recorded by an English artist; Why? because it’s a masterpiece of dark and enigmatic orchestral folk/psych beauty redolent of Billy Nichols, Nick Drake or even er...Peter Sarstedt if you please! But who was Nick Garrie-Hamilton? and why was this 1969 album a France-only release? RevOla is in a position to answer all this. The amazing adventures of the Russian/Scottish Euroboy wandering the hip hotspots of Europe, San Tropez from his parental home in Paris, writing songs with the likes of Francis Lai, having megahits in Spain, recording with Cat Stevens and his band, touring and hanging out with Leonard Cohen—it just goes on, and yes, it is impossibly romantic; but the meat of this all is the album itself: it's equal parts UK baroque-downer pop/folk, and French pop music, a place where Dutronc meets Gainsbourg; bonus tracks include solo acoustic versions of the best tracks from the album, plus Garrie’s rare 1968 psych pop single 'Queen Of Spades’ b/w ‘Close Your Eyes', as well as tracks done for a label which planned to take over the European music business by issuing music only on 8-Track Cartridgesent debut album from one of Argentina’s best groups, which included Daddy Antogna from Orion’s Beethoven; very spacey psychedelic progressive from 1974, featuring the sweet ‘Ausencia’, the moody ‘El absurdo y la melodía’, and the great guitars and organ of ‘Gritos’; the best track might well be the long improvised instrumental ‘Viva Bélgica’; a very good effort, full of shifting rhythms and rich melodies. “Ave Rock were Argentina’s version of a progressive Deep Purple; great guitar driven heavy prog/psych drenched in tons of Hammond organ. Songs are very well developed with some nice mood variations and dynamic arrangements. Although there are some vocals they play a minor role as the album is mostly instrumental. The entire album is pretty trippy and spacey, with tons of guitar, bass, drum and Hammond interplay. In many ways this album reminds me of bands from the Ital-prog genre. Clearly one of the classics of Argentinian rock, and a fantastic record. CD $10 SKU:18952

BILLY BOND Y LA PESADA- VOL 1 and 2 & Rocks Blues Rocks Rocks (heavy psych 1972) - Label:CLOUD FOREST A wildly eclectic brew of driving heaviness, looser trippiness, and even some delicate moments from Billy Bond -- a more freewheeling and ambitious mix of post psychedelic wildness from Brazil's Billy Bond & co! Volume 3 from 1972 is made up of 2 lengthy suites, " Lado 1 -- Acustico" and "Lado 2 -- Eectrica Camplementaria". The former is surprisingly lean in spots, with some folky psychedelia in the blender. The latter is full of abrupt, dramatic stop-start dynamics. Volume 4 from '73 includes "No Nos Paran Mas", "Hacia Algun Lugar", Gracias Al Cielo", "Estamos Hartos", "Ano 1939", "Algo Esta Por Suceder" and more. This one is more of a wild and wooly rock & roll set, and a deliciously unpredictable one! CD $8 SKU:18947

BLACKOUT - ST (groovy 60s garage)-Label:WORLD PSYCHEDELIA (Korea) At last a reissue of a great album that features some of the cheesiest organ sounds (meant in a good way) carved into wax in the 1960’s; groovy and bizarre Hammond runs are present and accounted for, residing happily with the smart songs, the fine guitar playing, and the gravelly vocals of the band’s singers (male and female), on the only album this Polish band ever saw released, just before they changed their name (to Breakout), and their sound (to progressive rock); they started as a beat band, albeit one addicted to the dark side of beat as demonstrated to them in person by Eric Burdon & the Animals; they developed their own weird sound, which was dubbed “Big Beat” by someone clever—a term that still exists in the former Eastern Bloc to describe this sort of offbeat (so to speak), wigged-out and intense home grown music; after some radio success, Blackout apparently recorded a slew of singles, some of which appear here as bonus tracks; twenty songs in all, mostly written by underground novelist and poet Bogdan Loebl, plus liner notes that include an interview with band-leader Tadeusz Nalepa as well as an overview of the recording industry in Poland in the 1960’s. It’s not every day you get historical background and interesting music in the same package! CD $12 SKU:18953

CONFLICT -The Ungovernable Force (1986 punkers) -Label:MORTARHATE Conflict are notorious for their uncompromising stance, willing use of force, ultra-veganism and above all the lead singer Colin Jerwood and his seemingly limitless energy. This release is perhaps Conflict's finest hour, combining both their positive DIY message and some excellent anarcho-punk beats. Driving guitars, rapid drumming and meaningful vocals make this an excellent, if hard release. Some absolutely brilliant songs on here, including the self-titled track ‘The Ungovernable Force,’ the self-deprecating ‘Ungovernable Farce,’ the hilarious ‘Force or Service’ and blistering and loud ‘The Day Before.’ Not forgetting the final two closing tracks, ‘This is the ALF’ which is slowed down but very powerful and ‘To Be Continued,’ with the female vocalist asking the eternal question, "Do I stand alone in my search for freedom?" SALE! -Label: AUDIO ARCHIVES On CD-format, here's an ultra rare album recorded in 1973 and originally pressed on the Deroy customs label in a tiny quantity and issued in a bizarre, oversized custom-made sleeve. The album contains 11 home-grown songs featuring strong lead and backing vocals atop acoustic and electric guitars alongside piano and harp. Some songs, f.i. the head-weaving 'Smashed-out Carpet' have a prominent eastern, tripped-out psych feel throughout, whilst others straddle jug-band and folk areas. On Thee Electric Wolfman, the latest from the Golden Boys, this five-piece doesn’t so much scream beer-soaked obscenities as much as they howl them. These 11 rollicking tunes don’t just get the party started, they continue it long into the night. There’s a crusty underbelly to tracks like “She Said It” and “I’m Black and White” that showcase the Golden Boys’ ability to make jangly, harmonic pop tunes sound as haunting as your worst morning after.Taking further cues from Beggar’s Banquet-era Stones on “Old Man’s Coat”, a remarkably mature number, the Golden Boys prove that not only are they capable of sonically evolving, but they still possess the formula for having a good time. GONZALEZ, WALLY -Wally on the Road 70s (heavy acid blues psych)-Label:VICOR ENTERTAINMENT (Philippines) First off, don’t be deceived by the title—this is a studio album all the way; altogether a different sort of album from “Tunog Pinoy”, thudding out of the gate with the monumental ‘Kailan Pa Kaya’, syrupy treated vocals, John Bonham-esque drumming and all; dig too, if you will, the Zeppelin vibe of ‘Screw’ before sailing into the trippy, acoustic ‘Tattong Araw’, or the legendary ‘Wally’s Blues’; more effects than the earlier record, sounding more like newfound recordings from the late 1960’s than a mid-70’s record—this has more psychedelic credentials than most reissues which get that label bestowed upon them; you might say that while “Tunog Pinoy” is classic rock in the best sense, this is classic psychedelia, in the best sense. HORDE - Press Button Firmly (mid sixties rare garage ) w 4 bonus tracks -Label:BREAK-A-WAY Rarest 60s garage album by North Carolina students from early 1967. Painstakingly remastered at KSL. Undoubtedly the most exciting mid sixties garage album to be recently discovered in the genre, is that by The Horde from North Carolina. The existence of this self produced album came to collectors ears and eyes only about a year ago. It was recorded more or less accidently in early 1967, released in a micro quantity of only 25 copies and among the local US garage albums of the decade it is one of the few eclectic examples with all the ingredients that makes it outstanding compared with the usual prep-school albums of the time. It contains a blend of exciting originals and well chosen, inspired covers, played in a raw, crude and frantic style. If ever it were true that the over-used assertion that a band's cover versions measured up to the originals, then it is true of The Horde. Why? These five 19-20 year old students from all over the United States did not only blaze a trail for 60s rock in then conservative North Carolina, they also had a general attitude that finds its origins in the young peoples mindset of the mid-sixties that put them outside of the local mainstream and gained them a sort of regional underground popularity. IMPI-ST (Rare sole 1971 album by African influenced prog rock band)Label:FRESH Not much information out there about this rare one-off 1971 album (released by CBS back in the day); African influenced progressive rock, by some or all of the members of the South African band the Bats. There are the occasional flashes of pastoral flute/pennywhistle tinged folk mixed with psych guitar, jazz rock brass, soulful vocals and thundering percussion. Comparisons with Vertigo bands Jade Warrior, early Gravy Train and Assegai and bands like Chicago and Greatest Show on Earth. As for the Bats: It all started in 1964 when Eddie Eckstein, Paul Ditchfield, Pete Clifford and the late Barry Jarman, burst onto the local scene and became, to many ardent followers, South Africa's answer to the Beatles. They toured for more than a year (1966) in the UK, sharing the stage with the Kinks, the Troggs, the Zombies, etc. They had a string of successful singles and LPs on CBS, before going through the temporary identity crisis that resulted in the Impi album CD $14 SKU:20404

INSTANT FLIGHT is a London based 4 piece psychedelic pop/rock band, who have also worked closely with 'the god of hell fire' Arthur Brown, forming his backing band - they play on the Dvd "Arthur Brown Live at the London Astoria". This second album features 12 glorious psychedelic pop/rock tunes that stick to the mind like bees on honey. JUAN DE LA CRUZ- MASKARA (bluesy stoner jams)-Label:VICOR ENTERTAINMENT (Philippines) Totally rocked out bluesy stoner jams, with sex and party obsessed lyrics that are pure rock ‘n’ roll. "Maskara" was originally released in 1974—it’s the band’s second studio album— and is another outstanding collection of heavy duty rockers featuring the classic band line-up of Wally Gonzales, Mike Hanopol, and Joey “Pepe” Smith. Highlights abound: ‘Pinoy Blues’, ‘Nadapa Sa Arina’, ‘Beep Beep’, ‘We Love You’, ‘Palengke’, and ‘Pagod Sa Pahinga’—quite a few of which were featured on the unofficial “Shake Your Brains” disc from a few years ago (always a customer favorite). At times the vibe is almost like Mystery Meat or Index, and that's not something you run across every day. LAS ANTORCHAS- ST ( 60s Mexican acid punk w liner notes, and a poster insert ) Paper mini slv replica SAALE!- Label:ORFEON Las Antorchas were formed in 1965 by five college students in Mexico City. They released only one EP on Orfeon, but had recorded enough material for an album. They split around 1968/69, but after a line-up change they continued under the name of Antorcha. Thanks to the persistence of VAM Records and record producer Manuel Alvarez Valdez, we now have all known material of Las Antorchas, including their Orfeon material. Their early sounds are rock/beat influenced, with most relying on organ and vocals. But the excellent ‘Dime’ is a really great acid-punk track. Truly underground Mexican rock, waiting to be discovered. This edition has liner notes, and a poster insert that replicates the Orfeon EP art. The CD features 18 tracks in all – their famous EP, plus a host of great singles – with titles that include "Opus 14 Interior 12", "Dime", "Shake", "Confesion", "El Soldado", "Sabia", "No Lo Hagas", "Canta Conmigo", and "Substitute". LITTLE BOY BLUES- In The Woodland Of Weir (60s acid rock)Label:KISMET Their sole album -- made with a revised line-up and originally released in October 1968 -- incorporates jazz, classical and acid-rock influences, and makes its long-overdue return to CD here, complete with all their non-album singles sides. Includes liner notes. Formed in Chicago in 1964, The Little Boy Blues soon became local heroes, opening for The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Paul Revere & The Raiders, and many others. MANSET, GERARD -La Mort D’Orion (1970 French rebel)Label:WORLD It was the release of “La Mort D'orion” (1970), his third album, that made self proclaimed ‘lifelong rebel and eternal failure’ Gerard Manset famous in his native France. This ambitious concept album opens with dissonant strings in a classical mode that could easily be part of a Bartok quartet; the music then evolves (after a sitar interlude) into a multi-part, nearly 25-minute long song with an epic sweep that seems to encompass and distill all the finest that French modernism has to offer, channeling the spirit of its literary innovators (from Nerval, Rimbaud, Apollonaire, and Cendras to the likes of Camus, Sartre, and Robbe-Grillet), while also benefiting from the advancements in studio sound pioneered by the likes of Pierre Henry at Pierre Schaffer’s studio at RTF. As our friends at Other Music have said, “moments of seemingly normal French chanson give way to subtle and psychologically disorienting manipulations of orchestral trappings—the results are very dark, very beautiful, and quite unlike anything you'd expect from French popular music.” Creepy in some parts, at others "serious" psychedelic/avant garde progressive psychedelia, with abundant dark orchestrated atmospheres; for those who don’t object to this approach it is an album that can only be described as a masterpiece. In the end, "La Mort d’Orion" proved to be both a critical and commercial triumph; indeed, it went on to sell more than 20,000 copies—a remarkable feat for such a strange and innovative album—and French critics showered it with rave reviews. MORAZ, PATRICK- Out in the Sun(MOODY BLUES)Label:ESOTERIC Swiss born Patrick Moraz is probably best known in rock music circles for his membership of two of the world’s biggest rock bands, Yes and the Moody Blues. He was also been a member of the progressive rock band Mainhorse, forming the band with bassist Jean Ristori in 1969 and releasing one self titled album in 1970. By the time of the release of Moraz’s debut solo album in early 1976, he was firmly installed as the keyboard player in Yes. Following the release of Relayer all the members of Yes embarked on solo projects thus ensuring that his “The Story Of I” received maximum coverage in the music press. He then released his second solo album in 1977 (“Out In The Sun”) before joining the Moody Blues. As can be deduced from the title the second disc on offer here is a pairing of the first two Future Memories releases gathered together on one release. MOUNTAIN - Live At The Capitol Theater 1973 (blues hard rock) -Label:VOICEPRINT This King Biscuit Flower Hour concert was recorded in late 1973 at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey. By this point, the band had been through many of the cliche rock band phases: the breakup, the side-projects, a reunion with new members. The short version of the story is that the band split up, and Leslie and Corky hooked up with former Cream bassist/vocalist Jack Bruce to form the supergroup West, Bruce and Laing, with whom they put out a number of albums. Mountain later reunited, but during '73, the band went on a Japanese tour without Laing, because of an alleged dispute between him and Pappalardi. CD $12 SKU:19516

MYLLA -VANJA (ultimate psychedelic party-band 70s sytle )-Label:SUBLIMINAL SOUNDS Mylla came into fruitation at the now legendary illicit club/speakesy BZ in a Stockholm cellar. Mylla is the ultimate psychedelic party-band for the loosely knitted family of musicians centered around the Subliminal Sounds label (like Dungen, The Works, Life on Earth! and St. Mikael and many other Swedish psychsters). Were happy to finally be releasing their debut album "Vanya". The album was recorded in a limestone cottage at a secluded island far out in the Baltic Sea known by sailors for centuries as the "White Hawaii". The island Faro has been closed for all foreigners up until a few years as it contains several top secret army bases. The music is steeped in the Swedish 70s "Progg" tradition. Like Dungen the band sings in Swedish but unlike Dungen the Mylla experience might only be for the natives, but at least its no longer forbidden for anyone to try it out. NATIONAL WAKE- ST (80s South African punk)Label:FRESH The scene for developing free-thinking rock music in South Africa was a struggle against social and political barriers unlike any place else in the world at that time, except perhaps for the Eastern Block countries then under the thumb of USSR era communism. This is a story of struggle, the sum total of which reaches far beyond the music: National Wake, the band Ian Kadey led in the late 70s and early 80s, were South Africa's first, and indeed only, multiracial punk band. And yet Kadey had kept this unique story to himself, partly because he thought no one was interested (National Wake split in 1982 just after putting out their solitary release, an album of which only 500 copies were pressed), but also, Kadey says, because "it was too painful for me, so I just buried it". The band's two black members, brothers Gary and Punka Khoza had subsequently died: the former had struggled with mental illness and killed himself; the latter died from an Aids-related illness. " Kadey formed National Wake in the aftermath of the Soweto uprising of 1976 – "one of the conditions of living in a repressive state like that is that it just seems impossible to do anything about it, there's a kind of paralysis, but that was a real 'get up, stand up' moment: look at these kids, it's time to take up the fight" – their sound influenced by British and American punk and Bob Marley. If the South African authorities had somehow managed to overlook Bob Marley, they didn't miss National Wake, whose songs didn't exactly cloak their political message in layers of impenetrable metaphor. In three minutes, the band's signature tune 'International News' manages to decry state censorship, the war in Angola and what guitarist Steve Moni calls "the ostrich life of suburban South Africa, just spending your time deliberately trying not to notice things". They seem to have been viewed with a certain awe even by rival punk bands: "They had an aura, like wanted men," says Michael Flek, frontman of South Africa's first punk band Wild Youth. O BANDO - ST (!969 Brazilian super group) Label:Discos Mariposa “Reissue of the sole album (1969) from this Brazilian rock “super-group” formed in São Paulo in the end of the 1960’s. O Bando’s music blended MPB, regional music and Tropicalistic “psicodelia”—this engaging combination no doubt thanks to Rogério Duprat, who provides arrangements (along with Damiano Cozzela and Júlio Medaglia). It’s a bizarre record, which starts off with a blast of rampaging brass before searing fuzz guitar and disturbing astral keyboard sound effects kick in; the end result sounds like an insane hellfire version of soundtrack/library music of the period. The rest of the album is quirky in the best of all possible ways: some definitive Tropicalia moments, including a cover version of Toquinho e Jorge Ben’s “Que Maravilha,” funky break intros to many of the songs, and nice harmonies too, when required. Although they used single names in O Bando, the singer “Marisa” was Marisa Fossa (she later recorded more material with Rogerio Duprat), Paulino was Paul de Castro who also played in Os Mutantes and other Brazilian rock legends, and “Dudu” was famous Brazilian drummer Dudu Portes, who has backed Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, and Gal Costa, among others. POP MUSIC TEAM - Society Is A Shit (ultra rare Mexican 60s psych Iron Butterfly/Doors style )Label:VAM MEXICO Pop Music Team were among the first psychedelic bands in Mexico, writing original material influenced by Iron Butterfly, Jefferson Airplane, and the Doors (they even opened for the Doors at the Forum in Mexico City). This is a reissue of their legendary unreleased album, recorded for Orfeon in April 1969, with killer fuzz guitar and organ, mostly sung in English. This music should be known to all psych music heads, but it isn’t: so what happened? It’s simple. A demo recording of the band’s track ‘Tlatelolco 68’ was broadcast on the radio in 1969. The Mexican government heard the track, and immediately quashed the release of the album; their objection: the song described the brutal repression of the student movement in Mexico (students were slaughtered at La Plaza de las Tres Culturas in Tlatelolco, Mexico City). For a long time, about 36 years to be precise, no one knew that an entire album had been recorded, or where to find the masters. But here it is, psychedelic garage jams with sweet fuzz and farfisa, including ‘Tlatelolco 68’, which turns out to be a 10-minute freaked out long jam. Sure, the cover art looks like a bubble gum packet (there was no original jacket art, since the album was never released), but don't let that or the band name scare you. This is wonderful stuff! PSYCHEDELIC MOODS PART 2 - Sunset Love & Inner Sanctum Journey Thru Inner Space)Label:CICADELIC After releasing the “Psychedelic Moods” album, in October of 1966, Mark Barkan envisioned another psychedelic album for his next release. It was to be performed by a Greenwich Village band called “Inner Sanctum”. The theme of the album was to be a psychedelic journey into the various psyches of the mind. The trip started with a journey into the past (The House Of Yesterday) then covered the inner workings of the mind (ID) then the descent into madness (Hydro Pyro) hallucination (Purple Floating) and finally culminating in nirvana (Snow Petals). Unfortunately, Barkan was unable to find a record company willing to lease the masters and so they languished for decades unreleased. Now, at long last the masters for this aborted album are mixed from the original four track tapes and forty plus years later the psychedelic sounds of “Inner Sanctum” are now ready, willing, and able to blow your mind. Sunset Love” was comprised of band members from New Mexico and Texas. In the fall of 1968, thirteen original songs and two covers were recorded for a potential album, but nothing was ever released. “Sunset Love’s” lush harmonies, soaring vocals, superior song writing, and flower power consciousness pervaded their songs with a depth and quality unheard of from most 60s’ bands. While their sound can be compared to such bands as “The Mamas and The Papas”, “The Peanut Butter Conspiracy”, “Spanky and Our Gang”, and “The Love Exchange”, “Sunset Love” had their own inimitable style that transcended a generic stereo-type. Had Sunset Love released their album in the 60’s, there is no doubt it would have been an instant rarity of excellence. REINHOLD, MOLITOR- REINHOLD 60s PSYCH)-Label:VAM Globe-trotting artist Bodo Molitor may have been born in Germany, but he’ll forever be associated with the psychedelic scene in Mexico and South America. In addition to creating the zoomorphic art for his own bizarre album, “Hits Internacionales,” he also created the psychedelic art for the legendary Kaleidoscope album, for La Libre Expresion, and for his brother Reinhold’s solo album. He had this to say about the Reinhold record: “My Brother Reinhold came for a visit from Germany where he was playing with several bands. He was only 19. I knew Edghar Zamudio (from Peru) and one day he asked us to record that LP. Just acoustic—guitars and a banjo played brilliantly by my brother. I think we recorded the whole album in three or four days. I played some guitars and did some vocals as well. It’s folky and bluesy with originals some covers and traditionals. My brother sings and plays guitar and banjo, on some of the songs he wrote.” The Reinhold album is so rare, even with the connection to his more famous artist brother, no one seems to have discovered it… until now. Despite being from the end of the 1960’s, Reinhold has more of an early-60's NYC Greenwich Village Cafe Wha?-ish folk underpinning. The best tracks have gravel-pated vocals in a vaguely Tom Waits or maybe Joseph Spence sort of vein—really syrupy and quite excellent. ROTOMAGUS - The Sky Turns Red: Complete Anthology(1971 protopunk) Label:LION On Julian Cope’s excellent Head Heritage web-site, the Seth Man raves about Rotomagus thus: “The first time I heard this track (‘Fighting C*ck’), I did not freak out. I merely walked into a nearby closet and screamed my head off for a minute solid, beat the floor and ripped my t-shirt... then I cowered when it hit me: this thing came out in 1971? Before “Raw Power”?! I just lost my mind... The only thing that predates this monster in terms of being a full-on amassing of all things heavy are all the many key points on Sir Lord Baltimore’s “Kingdom Come” LP and THAT’S it, brother. Hard to believe this is all pre-1971, as much of the demo is not just proto punk but proto hardc*re—with enough fiery attitude to make you want to scream along. And so, sometime after the release Dark Side Of The Moon, musicians of suitable competency were hired, cover songs were selected, and the art department went to work on something eye-catching and only a little deceptive. SWAMPGAS -ST(1972 rural southern-esque vibe) Label:Skyf Zol First discovered while opening for the Grateful Dead, Long Island quartet Swampgas were taken under the wing of producer Artie Kornfeld (Wind In The Willows, Woodstock co-conspirator) and set about recording an LP. Due to financial difficulties the album was held up a year, and finally given a cursory release in 1972 (Buddah BDS 5102), by which time the disillusioned band has already broken up. Listening to their sole artifact now, one immediately notices the loose, rural southern-esque vibe considering their northern roots, and the inventive guitarwork of main songwriter Baird Hersey, who continues to make music today as leader of the overtone singing ensemble Prana. TONE FLOAT - Musik Von Tone Float (Texas psych/Krautrock inspired)-Label:TIMOTHYS BRAIN A sonic portfolio of the Texas psych/Krautrock inspired scene it represents, but also an homage to the heavily lysergic first Kraftwerk album under the name Organisation; as the rave review in Alternative Press rightly pointed out, "words cannot do justice to the utterly outlandish studio experiments Tone Float achieve here." ZOOT MONEY-Transition (LOST 70S PSYCH GEM)-Label:RIGHTEOUS An excellent album! Featuring the same players who were in the Big Roll Band (including future Police guitarist Andy Summers) on all tracks, Zoot Money came up with this tip-top set, which has soulful ballads, up-tempo mod material and a couple of dreamy sitar numbers written by Summers; 'Soma' inspired Summers and Money to push the boundaries and encouraged the band to wig out further, and in a state of psyche-pop bliss, they decided they were so far out of the Big Roll Band sound that they should change their name to Dantalian's Chariot. They played shows with the Pink Floyd and featured a couple of the tracks from “Transition” in stranger incarnations; Dantalion’s became a cult classic in the process, but turned their existing mod following off and failed to ignite. After the Dantalion hiatus, “Transition” was finally released (in 1968) on the Direction label; by that time, the mods had embraced the psychedelic bug and the album slipped into obscurity, and became one of those buried treasures that is talked of but seldom actually even seen. Finally, this lost gem has made it to CD. Remastered from the original quarter inch tapes, with all of its glorious sweeping sounds, aching vocals and groovy upbeat tunes intact, it's the epitome of cool. CD $10 SKU:19014
