BACHS- Out of the Bachs-remastered 180 gram (60s garage psych) GERMAN IMPORT- Label:OUT SIDER Restocked; '60s garage-psych moody monster! Includes insert with detailed liner notes and rare photos.Out of The Bachs was originaally released in 1968 as a private pressing of 150 copies; it's one of the rarest USA '60s garage/teenbeat albums ever. The band consisted of five young kids from Chicago, regulars at local teen dances, who decided to release an album for their fans before splitting up. Recorded and mixed in just ten hours at a makeshift studio, Out of The Bachs offers 12 amazing self-penned songs with a sound ahead of its time. Pure teenage-angst vocals, crashing Rickenbackers, fuzz outbursts, killer moody tracks... Sadly, all previous reissues of the album failed to capture the true sound of the original, until the Time-Lag label reissued it in 2011 with remastered sound from a pristine original vinyl copy. CYKLE -ST (US garage psych 69)Label:OUT SIDER Top notch US garage / psychedelic album from 1969: Vox organ, fuzzy guitars, snotty vocals and impressive songwriting / recording quality. Featuring all-time acid-punk classics such as “It’s Her” and “Walkout Of My Mind”. Cykle was formed in 1968, North Carolina, when gifted musician and songwriter Jimmy Sossamon (previously in famous local band The Young Ones) heard a local group, the Glory Cykle. He was so impressed that he approached them about becoming their manager. The band -- guitarists Ralph Stevens and Jeff Hardin, bassist Grady Pope, organist Rick Wilson, and drummer/vocalist Ken Allen -- practiced at the studio Sossamon had built in his parent's garage, and by the end of the year, Sossamon took up the drummer’s seat to free up Allen as lead vocalist. Band’s name was shortened to Cykle and in early 1969 they began recording an album consisting entirely of Sossamon originals. The resultant eponymous LP was released later that year as a private pressing of 500 copies on the band’s own Label Records. But despite the 1969 release date, “Cykle” sounds straight from the 1966-67 garage-punk-psychedelic book. *Insert with detailed liner notes *LP housed in an old- school- style tip- on sleeve. “When the most popular garage bands of the day were moving further and further away from the genre’s “less is more” production ideal, Cykle offered a raw, authentic take on what garage rock was meant to sound like.” - Psychedelized. From 1971, this Pearl River, New York High School band recorded this album in an old town church over the course of Just 5 hours. Rising from the ashes of such famous Vancouver bands as The United Empire Loyalists, Cement City Cowboys and Six Cylinder, this band played a style of music that crossed between a fuzzed out John Coltrane sound to one of hard driving rock with Farfisa organ and blazing guitars and hard-edged vocals. DEAD BOYS - 3rd Generation Nation 180 gram pink (rare outtakes and liners by Cheetah Chrome-Label:BAD BOY THESE ARE PRE-MIX RARE OUTTAKES OF “WE HAVE COME FOR YOUR CHILDREN”. RAW AND UNADULTERATED, THESE ARETHE REAL THING FOR TRUE PUNK-ROCK FANS. CHEETAH CHROME’S LINER NOTES:in January of 1978, the Dead Boys, for some ungodly reason, were sent to Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida, to record a follow-up to “Young, Loud & Snotty”. While it was nice hanging out with Andy Gibb & Co, it could have been done cheaper and more happily in New York. Somehow, we felt as comfortable as 5 men sitting in one electric chair, as Disco and Southern Rock ruled the land, and we had spiked hair and dog collars! The result was probably the most disappointed 2nd album in history. Felix Pappalardi, the producer, didn’t understand us, and didn’t want to, as he got paid no matter what, and had plenty of drugs to play with. The songs and performances however, were fine, but you sure couldn’t tell it from the mix, though the cover was nice! Here is a re-EQ’d mix of the pre-EQ’d session, bringing some of the energy and spirit that was the band out front where it belongs. Give it a second chance, it’s been worth the wait! “Big City” still sucks though! LP $16 SKU:16567

TOM THUMB-ESSENTIAL RECORDINGS 1966-1970Label:BREAK-A-WAY During the period 1966-1970 two incarnations of Tom Thumb, a band from Wellington, New Zealand, cut eight singles and one ground breaking prog rock EP. This LP collects the essential tracks, including excellent fuzzy covers of The 13th Floor Elevators, Small Faces, Alan Bown and Jim Pepper. The tracks from the 1970 EP 'The Ludgate Hill', New Zealand's first ever progressive rock record, are also featured.
