ACID VISIONS - VOLUME 1 (Groundbreakingcomp of 60’s psych ) - Label:VOXX This groundbreaking compilation of '60s garage bands was assembled by Roy Ames, veteran Texas music producer who had access to many of the original master tapes and permission from the original labels. Many of these now-classic artists were heard for the first time on this album, of which a second volume was later issued by Voxx, before Ames took the whole series (plus the title and the artwork! to Collectibles, where it was expanded into more volumes and a 3-CD box set. Of them all, the first remains the most impressive overall; there's not a weak track here, and most are simply brilliant COMP LP $15 SKU:17754

TELLTALE HEARTS - Now Sound- Label:VOXX LAST COPIES of OUT OF PRINT title. (Voxx 036). Awesome mini-LP debut by this mid-80’s garage band. Back in the days of the mid-80s "garage revival" scene that revolved around the Cavern Club, there was no doubt that the Tell-Tale Hearts led the pack of "paisley underground" bands that were popping up everywhere. They combined primitive and snotty mid-60s garage punk with R&B and blues influences, and had in Ray Brandes a great vocalist. Bill Calhoun played the keys, Eric Bacher was the guitarist, Dave Klowden the powerhouse drummer, and Mike Stax (publisher of the great Ugly Things fanzine) the "bass that ate San Diego." These guys had it all: the "look," the sound, and the carefree attitude.LP $15 SKU:2368

HOLY SISTERS OF THE GAGA DADA- Gaga At the Go Go RARE 1988 BOMP RELEASE - WAREHOUSE FIND Label:BOMP ONE COPY ONLY SEALED . A little detour for BOMP, into the world of alternate rock! The Holy Sisters of the Gaga Dada were an eclectic band originally from Santa Cruz, California, USA[1] formed in 1981. They were voted "Best Alternative Rock Band of the Year" by L.A. Weekly.[2] The collaboration of keyboardist Mary Jean Shaffer and guitarist Blancah Black, the Holy Sisters reveled in eccentric, quasi-religious imagery and feminist politics. Other original members included Heidi Puckett (bass) and Jeff Grubic (tenor sax). As the band morphed from conceptual entity to frequent club performers, Black left and two new members were added, Jill Fido (bass) and Charles Bingham (drums). Kim Sockit later replaced Puckett, and Zero Jessephski, Jr. replaced Bingham, making the Holy Sisters of the Gaga Dada an all-female band. The group would later move to Hollywood, California[3] where they were featured in "Once Upon Her Time," a TV program about women in the '80s which aired on the Lifetime Cablevision Network.
